A little girl sat in a grand bedroom that was filled with purples, blues, and silvers. The girl was no older than six. She had long, straight, dark brown hair that reached the middle of her back. She had delicate skin and bright blue eyes that had specs of purple. She wore a long white nightgown and sat with perfect posture on her king sized bed. In her hair was a silver chain crown, with a purple crescent shaped gem resting on her forehead.
The vision started to change. The girl started to change. Her long brown hair changed to long blonde curls, her eyes from there blue to hazel with specs of orange and yellow. The chain crown in the girls hair changed to a gold with, with an orange and yellow sun gem. The colors of the room began to change as well. Golds, oranges and light pinks took over the room, instantly making the room brighter.
Again everything started to change. The girl's hair lost it's curls and color, turning to red waves. Her eyes were now green with specs of brown. Her once gold crown shifted into a bronze one, the sun turning into a green leaf. The room became consumed in greens and browns.
The scene changed again. This time the three girls appeared together, outside. It was dark outside. There was ash falling from the sky. The girls were huddled together by an old willow tree a little ways away. They had looks of fear etched upon their faces. The castle in the distance was consumed in fire. There were screams coming from people in the near-by town. "The Castle! It is on fire!" the towns people screamed. That was all that the three girls could make out.
The fire got closer and closer to the three girls. Closer. Closer.. It was right in front of them. There was a voice coming from the fire. A voice deep cold voice that sent chills up the girls spins. They couldn't understand what the voice had been saying. It seemed to be in a different language. One that the girls had never heard before. The cold voice started to laugh a very sinister laugh. And everything went dark.
I wake up with a start, sweat dripping down my face. This is the third time in the last week that I have had that dream and each time things get clearer and clearer. I stand up from my twin sized bed and look outside my small window. The sky is a navy blue, and the thousands of starts shine brightly in the sky, and the crescent moon is as beautiful as ever. The light coming from the moon made all of the starts dull in comparison. I smile and step away from the window. I look around my small room. There were a few cloths on the dark wooden floor but aside from that it was pretty clean.
I go into my closet and grab a small sweater. I open my door and quietly walk down the steps. I look around to see if I woke anyone then I continue my journey to the front door. Once I make it to our crooked front door I walk outside. The cold, crisp night air quickly meets my bare arms. I quickly took the sweater that I brought and put it on, it immediately warming me.
My feet still bare, I walk the path to the bakery. Along that path, the path that everyone knew, was my own secret hide out. It was a little off of the path, and no one ever went into the woods. There were rumors about them. Most people think that it is haunted, but a few believe that there are demonic beasts roaming the woods ready to attack whatever crosses their paths.
I live in the Northern Kingdom which is just one of five; The Northern, Southern, Western, Eastern, and the Core Kingdom. The village I live in is small. We aren't the richest but like many other villages around us, we make enough to get by every year. I usually try to avoid most of the people in my village. Which isn't a hard task to do seeing as they all think I have lost my mind. The only people in the village that like to talk to me are Mr. and Mrs.Cander.
The Canders are an old couple (In their 70's) but they never seem it. They are always so full of energy and life. Mr. and Mrs.Cander own a small shop in town. Not many people shop there, but it is one of my favorite places to be. Their shop is filled with books and trinkets from around the different kingdoms. Each little trinket has a story to tell and Mr.Cander is usually the one telling it. I love listening to his stories, even though I am sure quite a few of them are more than likely made up.
