Mark's POV
Why am I nervous? There's no reason to be. This is no different than any other date. Other than it's my best friend. Jack climbs into shot gun with a soft smile on his face. He tosses his backpack in the backseat as I pull out of the parking lot. We don't have to go very far since there's one four blocks from the school. Jack seems much more calm than I feel at the moment. What's with me right now?
We get out of the car and into the cafe where we then wait in line to order.
"How about you o find a seat for us," Jack suggests.

"Alright," I say handing him money and he pushes it back to me with a shake if his head and smile.

"This is a date I'll pay for you."

"Oh right well I'll have-"

"A carmal mocha with extra whipped cream, I know"

"Alright then I'll just...go get the table."

Jack's POV
Dammit Jack you should have just let him say it, but nope. You had to do that. Just had to say it to him. Fucking idiot! I go find Mark who is in the back of the place sitting quietly looking at his hands. Don't fuck it up Jack. Don't fuck it up. I sit across from him with a smile and hand him his coffee. Mark thanks me and sips his drink as I do the same. We don't talk for a good while that is until Mark gets so uncomfortable that he speaks.
"We aren't going to get anywhere if we keep acting like this," he chuckles.

"I already know everything about you so I don't know what to talk about," I laugh.

"Well we need to find something to talk about."

"Alright I'll just start saying random shit then."
Mark laughs as do I. Our laughter becomes silent and I just watch him as his laughing dies down. God his smile is so pretty. I then hear the laugh that I love and my eyes go wide.
"Yours is pretty as well," Mark giggles with light pink on his cheeks.

"Thanks," I say with an embarrassed smile covering my face, "Did I actually just say that."

"Yup."

"Anyways," I chuckle and Mark does the same.

"What are we going to do after this? I mean I like this and all, but after a while we'll get bored."

"There's a park a couple blocks over."

"Then we shall go there and be children," Mark says triumphantly.

When we get to the park I instantly go on the slide. Mark just smiles at me as I run around like a child. He joins me at the landing of the jungle gym full of slides and monkey bars. This is probably the most fun that I've had in a long time. Even though there's snow everywhere and it's cold as shit I'm having an amazing time.
Once I go down the last slide I lay down on the ground. I start to make snow angels and Mark looks down at me with a smirk. My smile grows increasingly wide as I continue to move my limbs.
"Having fun?"

"You have no idea."

"Well, you know that once you stand up you're gonna look like you passed yourself right?"

"I don't give a fuck," I laugh and reach my hand out to Mark.
He takes my hand and before he even gets to pull me up I pull him down to the ground. Mark lands on the thick snow with a chuckle after being cushioned by the white substance. I look at him as he stares up at the sky. He takes my hand in his as we lay in the snow. Sure we'll be sopping wet, but who cares. We're having a good time and that's what matters.

Mark's POV
His cold hand is soft against my hand. I scoot closer to him as I close my eyes and take a breath. This is so calming and not stressful. This is what I needed. Just a day off from all of my studying and homework. I can feel Jack's baby blue's staring at me. So I turn my head and sure enough there are his eyes staring back into mine.
"I'm so glad you asked me out on a date," I whisper.

"Me too."

"It's very calming and just what I needed. No studying or homework. Just nothing, but relaxation."

"So does this mean we get to have another date?"

"Of course it does you goober," I chuckle punching his arm softly.

Okay so this is short as hell and I'm sorry, but it's fluff. So I figured it could be good enough as a filler I guess. Anyways happy reading!
