It had been a hard day. The mission I went on with team 7 was a tough one. We fought off some tough ninja, we won but came home with many bruises and were tired. I layed in my bed trying to get some sleep. But I couldn't. Horrible memories came back to me. One of those memories started with a promise.
Flash back
"Don't worry Sakura I'll bring him! I'll drag Sasuke if I have to."
"Please Naruto, bring him back," she said with desperation. I couldn't stand that look in her eyes, so when I fought him, I fought him with everything I had. But to no avil, I lost in the end.
The next time I woke up I was in the hospital with Pervy Sage in my window. He told me how he wanted to train me and so after left. He cheered me up though. He said my defeat will only make me stronger. Then I saw someone I thought I'd never see in my hospital room .
"What are you doing here Sakura?" I looked at her questioningly.
"Can't I visit a friend Naruto?" She said smiling. But I knew it was fake.
"I'm sorry..."
"Hush. Just...just get better for me ok?" She said quietly while placing a white rose in my hand. I looked at her and she was crying. "I can't loose you too."
"Sakura.." I reached out my hand calling out to her, but my voice never reached her for she was already gone.
That night I sobbed all night long. My bestfriend was gone and the girl I love is broken. I failed at my promise. Why'd you'd have to go Sasuke? Sakura would be so much happier. I'd give anything to make her happy. Anything at all.
