Younger Generation

I've heard people say,

That the younger generation,

Just throw their lives away.

That we have miss communication,

And that's why we try to run away.

But they don't realise,

That role models,

Don't exist in these times!

We have no one to look up to.

So we don't know what to do.

As we lay in bed,

Just trying to sleep.

You hear your mother making out

With her new boyfriend,

In the living room.

It brings your sanity to an end!

She depends on men,

Otherwise she's not happy.

She's one hot mess,

Just following the next hot guy,

It's devastating!

With a cigarette in her hand,

She only makes demands.

She doesn't understand,

Why you're angry.

And we just want to run away

To a stabler safer place.

Just wanna get away

Yes we gonna try and change our fate

Yes, I've heard people say,

That the younger generation,

Just throw their lives away.

That we have miss communication

,

And that's why we run away

But they don't understand,

We have no one to look up too,

We're lost and we never know what to do!

Your dady's sprawled out on the couch,

Empty beer bottle clutched in his hand,

Looking like a slouch,

With no life plan.

He stumbles around,

And complains about his life,

You wanna huddle on the ground,

With tears in your eyes

I've heard people say,

That the younger generation,

Just throw their lives away.

That we have miss communication,

And that's why we run away

But they don't understand,

There's no one to take our hand,

And learn us right from wrong.

Your mom's acting like slut,

And you're father is a drunk,

He's complaining about his life.

Mom's forgot all that's right.

Yes, she can't do anything on her own,

He stumbles around and causes one hell of a show.

Without a man she is nothing,

Without a beer he is falling

Yes, we are the kids of the younger generation,

We try to live the right way,

But inside we're all breaking,

Broken, shattered

We just want to run away,

Our lives are no fairytale,

It's painful,

But we do it all alone.

It's shameful,

That we can't call our house our home.

I've heard people say,

That the younger generation,

Just throw their lives away.

That we have miss communication,

And that's why we try to run away.

But they don't realise,

That role models,

Don't exist in these times

We have no one to look up to.

So we don't know what to do.

The younger generation,

One hell of a battle.

Filled with devestation,

with many complications,

We're the younger generation
