PROLOGUE
It's been two years. I've never missed anything thanks to the notes she wrote to me. I have a bad memory I have to admit but with her help I could do anything. She wrote everything I need to do, all the occasions in case I forget. She's everything I need.
Today is her birthday. I would've already married her if she's still—alive. I tried to live after her death but nothing's the same. All that's keeping me alive is her memory and the note with the words—missing you.
CHAPTER 1
Riinngg... My alarm rang.
'Wake up, sleepy head.' The note that I saw when I went to turn off the alarm. I smiled. I got out of bed. 'It's my birthday. I hope you didn't forget. I'll be waiting.' The note on my mirror.
"I didn't forget what today is.", I whispered to myself.
I just got out of the shower and choosing what to wear. I pulled something.
'I like this one with your pair of blue sneakers. Wear it when you meet me.'
I only wear these clothes when I meet her. She likes it so much I don't wanna spoil it.
'Did you lock the door?'
"Oh yeah...", I scratched my head.
I rode my bike to her place.
"Stop! Wait here.", the employee from the bakery stopped me. "Here.", he handed me a cake.
'Bring it with you when you come here.'
I continued on my way.
Knock... Knock...
"You're here.", she opened the door with a wide smile and pulled me in. "Mom and dad won't be here for at least two more months."
"Are you sure you don't want me to stay? I'm worried that you're al alone. Your mom and dad said that it's ok if I stay until then.", I said.
"I'm fine. You don't have to worry and besides you have your own place to take care of.", she said.
"What'd you wanna do today?", I asked.
She bit her lip and thought for a second.
"Let's play.", she giggled.
She's not your typical girl. She likes to play video games and even if she lose to me she still keeps going on but on days like today, there's an exception.
"I won?", she couldn't believe. "I won!"
I tried to hide my expression and then she kissed me.
"What was that for?", I was startled.
"For making me win."
She knows I make her win at some point but I never admit it.
"You won on your own.", I stayed firm.
"Fine.", she gave up.
I hide my laughter.
"I'm hungry. Let's go eat.", she pulled me.
I light up the candles and started to sing happy birthday.
"Make a wish.", I said.
She fell silent and clasped her hands.
"I don't really know what to wish for because I already have everything that I ever wanted. So I just said thank you for another birthday with you."
