She was asking for it, right?

He was 18, she was 16 when they first started dating. Everything started out alright, but eventually things got worse. He brought her flowers and visited her at work, but started asking for things she wasn't comfortable with. But that's okay right?

He bought her tampons when she asked, he held her when she was tired, so he deserved what he wanted, right? She was so much smaller than him, at 5'2" he could take what he wanted, so she was asking for it for being so small - right?

She was wearing a tee-shirt and shorts because it was hot out. But she was practically begging for him even though her words and actions said no, right?

He threatened her that if she screamed, she'd be killed. But she didn't scream so she must've wanted it right? She cried afterwards and he told her she had no reason to. She didn't tell anyone, so she believed him. Right?

He said he had a "cute date night" planned. But it only consisted of playing GTA 5 then him having his way, despite her protests. But she went with him for date night. So she must have wanted it. Right?

They went to the park and she wanted to scream, but he threatened her. So she must've been having the time of her life. Right?

It was his 19th birthday. He wanted her to come over with some of his friends to celebrate. But she wasn't able to. So when she was able to come over and watch a movie - he got the birthday present he wanted, even though she fought back. But she didn't tell anyone. She must not have been able to come up with anything better to give him. Right?

He cheated on her, but she gave him another chance. She must've wanted him to take her, right? He was much stronger than her, so despite her best efforts to fight back, it was her fault, right? She wore shorts that were midway on her thigh and a baggy tee-shirt. It was provoking him, so she was asking for it right?

She didn't tell anyone until after they broke up. So she was making it up right?

Now she feels alone and scared. She doesn't know who she can trust and lives in a world full of triggers. She doesn't know when she'll run into him next, or who will make the next joke. But after all, why does it matter?

Because, she was asking for it, right?
