Brian's POV
The base's border alarm rings. Someone stepped in the mile-wide perimeter. Alicia. How did she get here so fast? I better get ready to face them. I jump out the clear window for special effects. Sure enough, the moment I step out, confetti appears, and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner right behind it. Not what I expected, but sufficient. Probably. I brush off some of the confetti. I know the alarm came from the North side, but, this is Alicia, with her stupid tricks(no offense). She would most likely try to trick me and go around. Still. I send out clones to every passable border. That should work. I go to the Southern border.
***Ten minutes later***
I arrive at the southern border. Nothing. I better get back to my base. Prepare for the attack. Wait. One of my minions. Alicia spotted at northern border. Wow. I feel smart. I head off to the northern border. By the time I get there, Alicia is wandering around closely followed by Will. I send the clones nearest to me straight toward them. This might work.
Alicia's POV
Brian. Simply walking into the clearing. Impossible. It must be a clone.
"Hey Alicia. Hey Will. Anyone else follow you?" He says.
"I'm not Will." Luke growls.
Luke leaps toward Brian. In midair, he summons a thunderstorm. Lightning flashes as Brian and Will, I mean Luke, fight for control over the storm. This is amazing. Emily would probably make an anime comic if she saw this. I mean, this looks exactly like those movie trailers. Two brothers. Fighting for dominance. Eventually, the clone is overpowered. He disappears in a flash of light. The moment he disappears, dozens more Brians bound out of the bushes. I knew it. Luke is quickly overtaken. One of the clones sprint toward me. His spear aimed at me. He throws.
Brian's POV
I watch as my clones charge at those two. It worked. Now, I can win even without having to fight. I watch as one of my clones break away from the fight and run toward Alicia. Good. Suddenly, a figure jumps out from behind a tree on the other side of the fight. He jumps in front of Alicia and spreads her arms out. No, wait, it's Isabelle.
I jump out from behind my tree. I run toward the scene. The spear pierces my shoulder. Isabelle looks at me in surprise.
"Hey." I say weakly. I run off. My minions disappear leaving the one who I once called a friend.
