Chapter Seven

-That Night-

　

(Connor's POV)

　

We were at Jack's party and all of us were dancing. The whole time I was thinking about dancing alone with Kat. I finally went for it. I pulled her towards me and we started to dance. She looked right into my eyes and I pulled her closer to me. I leaned in and our lips touched. I felt a spark and got butterflies in my stomach. I think I may be falling for her, hard. After we leaned out of the kiss I noticed she was looking behind me. I could see the worry in her eyes. She told me she had to go and she ran after JC up stairs.

　

(Kat's POV)

　

I bannged one more time on the door then i kicked it open.

　

Kat: "ON MY GOD JC!!!"

　

There was blood all over the counter and a sticky blade in the sink. I heard crying and looked around the bathroom. I overlook a boy curled up in a ball in the corner. I darted over to him and picked up his hands that were covering his face. He looked at me with sadness in his eyes. I curled up next to him waiting till' he was ready to talk. We sat there for a long time in silence.

I was looking around the bathroom as I was thinking of what to say. My eyes fell on JC's face, he looked in so much pain and it was all my fault. I picked up his chin  and looked into his eyes. They were pink and puffy. Our eyes met then I looked down at his arm. He pulled up his sleeve and there was a large cut on his right forearm. I looked away for a second  so I could think of what to do.

I finally got up and went to the cabinet to look for some Band-Aids. I found some and gently put them on JC's arm. I turned away from him and started to clean the blood that was all over the counter. After I finished cleaning the counter, I pulled JC into a narrow hug. I whispered into his ear "Let's go home."

　

We walked out of the bathroom and out the door, not telling anyone. We made our way to the sidewalk, with our fingers entwined in one another's. It was silent the whole walk home. We walked up to the front door and  JC went straight up stairs leaving me at the door. I closed the door and made my way into Connor's room. I put my hair up then threw on a big t-shirt and shorts. I walked down the hallway and knocked on JC's door. I walked into his room and he was sitting on the edge of his bed looking at the floor.

　

Kat: "Can I come in?"

　　

JC nodded his head and waved me over. I walked over and sat next to him. I turned and wrapped my arms around him. He placed his hands on my waist and I put my head on his shoulder. I lifted my head up and looked into his eyes. I laid my hand on his arm.

Kat: "Promise me you won't do this again."

There was a long pause before he said anything.

JC: "Promise but you have to promise me you won't do it again either."

Kat: "Promise." I gave him a light smile.

He let go of me, stood up, and then he got into bed. After that he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me close. He put his arms around me and I laid my head on his chest. Soon we drifted off to sleep.
