In 4th grade, my favorite subject in school was history. I loved hearing how America, our country was born, and how people fought for their freedom. George Washington, Benjamin franklin, and Paul Revere. Brave men who all contributed to the cause, and succeeded. I was amazed.

As I got older I started learning about more recent wars, like world war 1 and world war 2. World war 2, was no doubt the worst. My history teacher carefully explained the events of Adolf Hitler and his rise to power. And worst of all, the holocaust. Millions of men, women, and children, were severely murdered, for only the reason of cruelty and greed.

Before our lesson ended that day, Mr. Fern spoke his lasts words with a stern expression. He said,"We learn the horrible events of the past because if we just forgot, history would end up repeating itself. And that's the worst thing that can happen."

How I wish everyone would have remembered. But now, it's to late for anyone to fix it. I just hope and pray to God to deliver us from this nightmare.
