Chapter 1: Hi, I'm Melody
Hi, my name is, Melody Lizzet-Marie Aberrant. A mouth full I know. People call me either Mels or Melody, but my mom calls me Marie. She seems to think I actually listen when she calls me Marie. I live in Bakersfield California present day 3013.
My mission in life? My one and only mission is to find my other half. My other half is supposed to be my true love. You see once you are bornyou are given a necklace. It is a chain with half of a shape on it that has an intricate design. Mine is a star with waves in it. My shape is supposed to be really rare. The three most rare are hearts, octagons and stars.
Today is my 16th birthday. Today I get to leave my beautiful mother and encouraging father to find my other half. I also get a car! This is going to be a fun and interesting adventure! I'm not sure where I'm going to start it yet though. They say you find your halves in your state and only your state so I've been thinking about starting in downtown then traveling all over the state.
