Chapter 2:The Adventure Begins

"Good morning Melody! Its your birthday!" Someone shook me. No I'm not going to open my eyes. Not even for my birthday. "Come on Melody get up your mom is making breakfast!" my dad said.

"No! Its too early to get up!" I groaned, but he had already left. So I rolled out of bed and got ready. I put on a blue close knitted sweater/shirt and light blue ripped jeans with blue keds. I smell pancakes! Yum! Run Melody run!! Down the stairs and into the kitchen by the time you counted to three, I was at the table with a plate in front of me. (Authors note- HAHAHAHA that rhymed!) I was just in time too, my mom had just put the plate with a stack of pancakes on it that was sky high.

"Oooooooh!!!! YUM!!! Foooooooddddddddd!" I rubbed my hands and piled my plate high with pancakes and covered them with syrup. I eat like a fat growing boy but I am as skinny as a stick. Its quite funny because strangers will watch me eat with the funniest look on their faces. And I don't exercise, I especially don't run. If I am running just know its for either food or it an emergency. My plate is now clean. Literally I locked the extra syrup off when my parents weren't looking. "Well I should probably go and finish packing for my adventure!" I will be up stairs if you need me." Finish packing? More like begin packing.

I went up stairs and looked for my suitcase. Hmmmmmm... where did you go suitcase??? Aha the closet, I went and pulled my large zebra stripped suitcase and opened it up. I stuffed a lot into it. My chlothes, shoes, accessories, and other gurly stuff for my adventure. I hauled it down stairs and put it by the door. My parents were in the living room.

My dad said,"Your car is in the garage!" YEASH!!!!!!

"YAY!!!!" I screamed and I went to my baby. It is a 2060's Willie's Jeep. It's a pretty orange with a black soft top and roll cage. It may sound old but it is BEAUTIFUL!!! My dad and I have been working on it for a while. My dad has been working on cars all his life so he passed some of the knowledge down to me. I put my suitcase in the back and went. back into the house. I grabbed my faborite pillow, stuffed animal, blanket, Cd case, phone charge, and head phones and put them into the back of my jeep. I went back inside to talk to my parents.

They were in the living room sitting on the couch waiting for me. So I went and sat in front of them.

"I'm going to miss you guys a lot. It's scary to think that I'm going out on my own and I wont be here with you guys anymore. Of course I will be back in a month or so to visit and all but until then I'm on my own." I said. Tears starting to flow. I really was going to miss them.

"I know its scary honey, but we are only a call away no matter what the time. And we will miss you too." My mom said also with tears in her eyes.

"Well I better go. I am starting downtown first."

"Okay let us know when you leave Bskersfield. Here is a couple hundered dollars for food and money for just in case." My dad handed me the money and I gave them each a big hug. With that I turned around and grabbed my keys off the table and left. I went to the mall first and walked around for a while. After I went through the whole mall not feeling any warmth from my necklace at all I left and went to a nearby park. After going to the pond and watching the ducks then going and sitting on the monkey bars on the play ground I just walked across the big field and to the sidewalk. I circled the whole park already and my feet started to hurt. ugh! So much walking in one day! I have no idea how people do this!! My feet hurt!!! I looked for a bench. I looked around and saw a girl curled up with her knees to her chest crying. Awe poor girl I walked over and sat next to her.

She is one of my bestus friends and I love her to death so be sure to read it. It has the same story line and everything its just two different point of veiws! Its pretty cool we are thinking of making a joint account when we are done with these and making a sequel to this then post a bunch of other stories to it. So yeah! hopped you guys liked this chapter and I'm already writting chapter three so it will be up soon!!! Wait a sec tomorrow is Monday! UGH!!!
