Jack's POV
"So you finally did it," Bob says.

"Yeah and it was so much fun."

"It sounds like the most generic book date ever," Bob says honestly.

"So? The cheesy dates are the best dates!"
Mark sits beside me and gives me a smile that I return. I turn my attention towards our friends and they all have smug grins on their faces. Mark looks at then confused eating his sandwich.
"What's with the looks," he chuckles.

"Nothing just heard you went on a date," Felix says resting his chin in his palm.

"Oh...y-yeah," a blush creeps onto his cheek while looking at the ground glancing at me slightly.

"Was it shitty or.." Wade leads on.

"It was great."
The guys look at us both as we both look at the ground with shy smiles.
"Why the fuck are you guys like this? We know that you guys went on a date and we've been fucking waiting too," Wade tells us.
We look at each other and back at our friends. They all look at us basically like we should just make it official now and here. Which isn't how I want this to go. I have a plan and I need to stick to it. Otherwise it might not go well.

Mark and I get in his car and once we're buckled he drives off. However he doesn't turn on the street we go down. My eyebrows furrow in confusion as I look out the window. I look at him and he has a smile on his face.
"Mark you're going the wrong way."

"No, I'm not."

"Yeah you are. Our neighborhood is that way," I say pointing backwards.

"We aren't going there."

"You little shit. Why didn't you tell me what you were doing?"

"Because it's a surprise."
He turns on the stereo that still has the cassette tape jammed in it. Which we both start singing to. One day we'll fucking hate this damn song, but for now it's just great. A few minutes later and we pull up to an ice rink. Mark has a small smile on his face as he gets out of the car. I get out and go beside him as he walks in.
"But I don't know how to ice skate."

"I'll help you don't worry."
Mark takes my hand and we run inside. We walk up to the desk and get our skates. Mark and I sit down as soon as we have them. He instantly ties his with great skill while I sit here not knowing what to do. He smirks at me with a cocked eyebrow.
"How do you do this," I chuckle and Mark shakes his head with a smile.
He crouches down at my feet and starts to do the laces on the skates. Once they are on he takes my hand and we attempt to walk to the ice. As soon as we get on the frozen water I slip and fall on my ass. Mark giggles and reaches his hand out to me which I gladly take. He pulls me up and he takes me around the rink. They play some pop song that I've never heard. A smile is on Mark's face as he pulls me around. There's some people staring at us and we could care less.
As we go around and around I scream the lyrics to a song, as I put my hand on the wall while holding Mark's hand in my free one.
"Cause it hurts because I know you won't be mine tonight! No one in the world ever makes me feel like you do when you smile! Baby tell me how to make it right!"
Mark laughs as the song plays and a blush creeps onto my cheeks. His nose is getting red from the cold and yet his hand is warm in mine. I smile at him and we just kind of stand here by the wall smiling at each other like idiots. However in a matter of seconds he let's go of my hand and skates away from me a couple of feet.
"You asshole!"

"Just skate over to me."
I groan and skate extremely slowly to him. However the little shit skates even farther away as I get closer.
"Stop moving," I laugh and he shakes his head no.
After our fucking around we decide to go back into the place to return our skates. When I look out the window it's pitch black. So I text my mom to tell her where I am. I then undo my skates and hand them to the guy at the counter. Once we both are ready to go we head to Mark's car.
"That was fun," I state while walking to the car.
