Lexi stepped into the Cafe, sliding onto one of the Bar Stools.
"Well, If it ain't Alexis!" The bartender said, cleaning a glass. "Been too long, 'asn't it?"
"Yeah." Lexi smiled. "School's been killing me, Dylan. Than god it's summer break!"
"Yeah, and I heard there been hella fights at your school, but never heard yo name." Dylan said, putting down his glass and leaning on the bar. "Glad your still keepin' ya nose clean, hun."
"Well, I gotta keep up good grade, otherwise I can't get to college."
As they spoke, a few men groaned over at the pool tables.
"What's going on over there?" Lexi asked, looking over. A young man with long black hair was shoving three $100's into his pocket, smiling.
"That new guy is cleaning out Butch and his crew's wallets in pool, blackjack, and bare-knuckle boxing." He chuckled a bit. "Serve's 'em right."
The young man strolled up to the bar, smiling as he pulled out THIRTY HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLS!
"What's this for?" Dylan said, eyeballing the cash.
"Give Butch's crew the strongest shit ya got, and gimme Monster Import Light, and the girl whatever she wants too." He nodded over to Lexi, smiling.
"You sure?" Dylan said, holding up the cash to the light. Completely Legit Cash.
"Yup." The young man smiled. "And keep the change."
Doing the math, Lexi's eyes widened. "Dude, that's a fifteen hundred dollar tip!"
He smiled, looking to the girl. "If it's a fifteen hundred dollar tip...you're getting three Monster Import Lights? Good taste."
Dylan chuckled. "Great, we got TWO mathmaticians in the house. Now someone can talk to Lexi about school, since I get lost." He grabbed the drinks, set them on the table, grabbed a few bottles labeled "HellFire Whiskey" and walked towards Butch's gang.
"So, what's your name, Gal?"
"Lexi." she said, turning to face him, opening her Monster. "Yours?"
"Call me Jay." He said smiling. When he did, she noticed that he had two snake-bite peircings on his lip.
"Peircings?" she said, looking to them. "I don't get the appeal of those."
Jay shrugged. "Everyone of my friends made a deal that we'd all either get a snake-bite, toungue peircing, or wing tattoos on our back. I got all three."
Lexi chuckled. "And why the hell would you do THAT? Didn't that hurt?"
Before he could respond, a bottle was tossed at him. Amazingly, he caught it by the neck and set it on the table. Looking back, Butch's crew all had weapons on them. The shorter two had switchblades, a buff one had brass knuckles, another had a baseball bat, and Butch had a small silenced pistol.
"We ain't poor, mate..." Butch said, slurred, obviously wasted. "You and your little girly friend best be runnin'."
"Butch, YOU better run off." Jay said, chuckling.
"That's it...GET 'EM!" Butch yelled.
The two men with the knives ran at Jay. Jay chuckled, pulling out a small rock, no bigger than a fist, and a AA battery.
"What the fuck are THOSE going to do!?" Lexi yelled, stepping back.
Jay tossed the battery at one of them and it hit him in the head. Surprisingly, it knocked him out!
The other began to stab at Jay, who simply stepped to the side and hit him in the head with the rock, knocking him out too!
The other two ran at Jay, but he jump onto the bar and did a frontflip, grabbing there heads in mid flip and slamming them into the bar. He landed on the back o there legs, casuing them to fall into the bar again, knocking THEM out too.
"Any last words, kid?" Butch said, aiming the pistol at Jay.
"Yeah," He said. "Run."
Butch chuckled, but Jay ran at him with amazing speed. A few shots were fired, but Jay slid on his knees and rammed his fist into Butch's crotch, sending him to the floor. Jay stepped on the pistol, crushing Butch's hand in the process.
"Give up, Butch?" He said, smiling. "Your friends have."
Butch looked around and sure enough, his crew had left.
"I...I give..." He said, weakly.
Jay moved his foot off of Butch's hand, and Butch ran off.
"Wh-...Who are you?" Lexi asked, stepping back in fear.
"Relax, Lexi. I'm not gonna hurt anyone who doens't try to hurt me." He smiled, sliding back onto the stool and drinking his Monster.
"How...How did you do all that?" She said, sliding onto the bar stool.
"I'm awesome." He said, chuckling a bit.
"I'm not joking around, Jay. How the hell did you dodge a fucking bullet!?" Lexi said.
"Watch the language, Lexi. And I just can." He smiled a bit, sipping more of his Monster.
"You know...Somethings not right about you." She said, looking him over. "I know everyone in tis little town, no exaggeration, and I've never seen you before."
"I just moved here three days ago. This is my first time outside the house." He looked to her.
He smiled, but when he did, something about it was...off. The snake bites glowed as he smiled, and a thought entered her head.
"Forget what you saw tonight, and go to bed."
The voice made her tired, but she fought through what it said.
"...I'll see you tommorrow." Jay said, walking out off.
"Wait, what do you mean!?" Lexi asked, standing up.
"You'll see." Jay walked out of the bar.
Lexi ran out to find him, but he was out of sight.
"What a weird guy..." Lexi said.
"You can say that again." Dylan said. "Still, pretty good tipper. And he seemed interested in you."
Lexi blushed. "Sh-shut up!" She said, walking over to her bike.
"See ya, Lex!" He smiled, waving.
"Later." She said, moving a bit of her orange bangs out of her eyes.
She road off, heading home. Try as she might, though, she couldn't get Jay out of her head. Something about the voice she had heard and his smile was connected, but she couldn't tell what. Maybe the snake-bites had a mind of there own.
She shook the thought. That was crazy talk. There was no way a peircing could be alive. She headed home, but still couldn't get Jay out of her head. Maybe it wasn't the whole voice thing...he was pretty handsome.
"Pfft...as if." She said. "I'm just the loser no one would go out with if there life depended on it. PLus with all those moves, he's WAYYY outta my league."
She was soon to find out how wrong she was.
