Chapter 6: First Fight

Okie Dokie then..! Let's get this Fight Scene Started..! *Mumbles* Because I can totally write Fright Scenes... *Yells* Ahahhahahahahha!! Uhhh... Let's just try this out...

~Your POV~

As I gripped Jennicah's handle, I felt a burst of Adrenaline flow through me. I've only battled against Melaina's Minions before... So this is kind of new.

One of the students started to thrust forward, we heard a familiar voice speak. "A fight, huh?" Professor Stein. "Now it wouldn't be an official fight without a Proctor, would it?" He smiled.

See? This had to be one of my favorite things about Stein..! When I first watched the Anime, I thought his personality was just the funniest thing in the world!

I just nodded his way with a grin. Then turned back towards the "bullies". "Let's go! Soul Resonance!" I yelled.

"So soon??" The Leader yelled.

Both of Jennicah's blades grew and turned into more of a translucent rainbow color. I readied her in battle position.

We waited a few seconds, no one moved, until the other three teams activated their Soul Resonance. The one with the Chain-Scythe threw their blade at us.

I swiftly jumped into the air, dodging the attack, and dived down with Jennicah's blade outward, ready to slice through them.

The other pair flung their Nunchuck handle as us, but I deflected it with Jennicah's Handle. Causing the Nunchuck to fly backwards and hit the guy straight in the face. Knocking them both out cold.

But the Leader still stood, as I slashed down Jenn's blade. But he blocked with his chain. I bounced backwards and landed on my feet, making an imprint into the ground.

I was thinking of a way to take down his defense, when I thought of something. "Jennicah, smoke bomb mode!" I whispered.

Her reflection nodded as a huge cloud of smoke covered both me, and the other Weapon and Meister pair.

"What the?" I heard the guy say.

I only smirked as Jennicah turned into a metal staff. I ran up to him using my special vision to search out his Soul Wavelength.

As he didn't expect it, I ran up to him and jabbed the staff onto his stomach with almost all of my force, and sent him pummeling backwards.

The smoke cleared as I stood there with victory gleaming in my eyes. Jennicah turned back to normal and gave me a high-five.

Stein gave us a look of disbelieve, but then smiled, spinning around in his swivel chair. 'Ah Swivel Chairs... You gotta love 'em!' I thought with a laugh.

We walked back to the Academy and into the Crescent Moon classroom, finding our seats. As we sat down, Kid, Liz and Patty sat down in the chairs next to us; with Jennicah being at the end of the row.

"You guys alright? You're awfully late to class," Kid asked, worry lacing his voice slightly.

I gave him a thumbs up with my signature smile. "We're A-Okay! Just got into a little fight is all!"

"Really?? A fight???" I familiar voice boomed.

As I guessed, BlackStar practically flew over and landed on top of my section of the desk. He looked down at me with a grin. "So how'd it go?"

"We won easily, but I wouldn't say that they were all that bad of an opponent either," I shrugged.

Jennicah just nodded in agreement as she pulled out a Sketch-Book. She started doodling down all of the events of the battle; labeling all the details.

Both Kid and BlackStar looked over the Sketch. They nodded, signaling that they read it, so Jennicah put the book away.

As she did so, Professor Stein wheeled through the door, of course falling over in the process. BlackStar jumped back to his seat as today's Lesson continued.

After the Lesson, Jennicah and I went to the Basketball Court to shoot a few hoops. Once we got there- with BlackStar's Basketball- we played one-on-one.

After the score was determined, she had beaten me by at least 8 points tops... "Geez, were'd yah learn to play?" I panted.

She just shrugged and started practicing Lay-ups and half-court shots. Of course, making every single basket.

"Mind if we jump in? You seem like a good competition Jennicah," we looked over to see Soul, Maka, Kid, BlackStar and Tsubaki.

'Sure!' She wrote onto Soul's hand with a warm smile.

We all got onto the court, and separated into teams. Team 1 consisted of me, Kid, Tsubaki and Liz.

Team 2 was Jennicah, Soul, BlackStar and Patty. Maka didn't want to play, so she sat on the bench and decided she'd just be the Ref.

We all agreed to make it in interesting terms. So the team captain that's team lost would be punished.

The team captains were Kid for our team. And Jennicah for the other team.

"Alright. Let's see, for Kid's punishment if his team loses-- he'll have to give up speaking for a week..!" Soul grinned.

"Fine. And as for Jennicah's punishment-- she must show is what's underneath her bandages,"

Jennicah's eyes widened. Uh no... Not saying that I want Kid to be punished, but Jennicah's team better win..!

Jennicah nodded in agreement to the terms. Maka stood in the middle of the court with the ball. Kid and Jennicah glanced at each other, then back at the ball.

Maka blew her whistle from who knows where, and threw the ball into the air. As she rushed off the court, Jennicah and Kid jumped for the ball.

Jennicah ended up hitting it first onto Kid's side of the court as it bounced to Soul. He dribbled the ball as close to the basket as he could, but only to be guarded by Patty.

~Jennicah's POV~

Once I smacked the ball to Soul, I rushed up closer too the hoop. Seeing that Soul couldn't move, I waved my hands in the air to tell him I was open.

He chest-passed the ball to me as I stopped, gripped the ball, eyed the backboard, and shot the ball. It flew across the court and swished straight into the basket.

Maka counted 2 points for our team as I passed the ball too Kid sense it was his teams turn to try and score.

Me and my team got into defense position on our side of the court. And considering how easy it was to score, we might actually have a chance at winning this thing..!
