The Overnight Normal

'Hey, is this Maya? This is Josh', I read. How did he get my number? I text him back. 'Hey. How'd you get my number?' I notice Riley glancing at my phone and looking back to Cory. I pretend not to notice. 'Reasons unknown to man kind. Anyways. You should come visit me sometime soon. I really want to get to know you.' He's funny and right I should visit him sometime. Maybe tommorrow. I don't know. After the hell he put us through, do I want to go back to how it was. But it wouldn't be, he doesn't remember. Riley said something about him faking it though. But once again, I don't know. I'm going to go see him tomorrow after all school if out for because of the incident. Wait, today's Saturday so I'm good. I'll call to see what the visitation times are for patients. I do and a nice lady answers the phone. A discussion rises and she then has to hang up. I tell Riley that I'm going to sleepover but have to leave early to get home because my Grandma told me I have things to do. I hate lying to her but evidently she does it all the time. We watch a movie , talk about Lucas, and then watch another movie. Basically the same as all of our sleepovers. We fall asleep around midnight. I wake up and look at the time. It's only 6 but I have to get up to get my story to pull through. I get out to the living room and no one was up. It is super early anyways. I get dressed and head home. "Why are you home so early?" My Grandma says as I walk through the door. "What? Is it so bad to see me?" I ask sarcastically while grinning. "What are we watching?" I ask as I flop myself on the couch next to her. "Golden Girls" She replies. That's our favourite show and Rose is my favourite character. She reminds me of Riley. All innocent but still a bear sometimes. We watch that for a good two hours or so. Life's great at this exact moment. Can't it stay like this.
