Hey, friends. It's been a wild ride so far, huh? I've told you so much that doesn't make sense yet, I bet you're about to explode with confusion. Well, I'm not sure what you were expecting, but it's about to get even crazier in Venenatus.
So, to catch you up to speed, Ashura is a wizard I found outside of a town called Forthbrook. I led her back to my guild, Heaven's Light, to give her a kickstart to a fresh life of wizardry, and to help her forget her traumatic past with some guild by the name of Revengeful Souls. At this point, only a select few people know about this other guild, but enough to make her antsy.
After Ashura joined the guild, so many problems from her past arose to seek out their revenge. Master Caelestis, the guildmaster of Heaven's Light, grew sick and tired of these problems and developed a plan for putting an end to the constant danger: nationwide memory wipe.
Even with this plan, some people found ways to bypass the barrier and maintain their memories or small figments of them, and continue to wreak havoc across the nation. Some particularly sketchy people include: Praeceptor Virdier of Forthbrook, brother of Virdigo Diaboli and our nation's leader; Brill Gaskin, a man responsible for posting a task in regards to eliminating a thief guild attacking Greenwood by the name of Criminal Cache, which led to Ashura having to single-handedly dispatch of a dragon; the mark giver, a man responsible for cursing Ashura with the Mark of Incendo, a curse specially designed by the fire dragon himself, Incidius, the Flamekeeper, for the quick elimination of anyone in his way. Too many people, in my opinion.
After the appearance of the dragon in the city of Greenwood, it wasn't long before the Potestatem Helix, the council of Venenatus, called Heaven's Light to take on a raid revolving around the members of this incident. The raid required one small, travelling party to head up to the northern border and seek out the dragon that attacked Greenwood, as well as reasons for why it would do such a thing after a hundred years of peace. The rest of the guild members were required to do research involving Brill Gaskin, why he disappeared after the dragon came, and if he has any correlation to the dragon abnormally coming to Greenwood. On the side, the rest of the guild is also trying to research Praeceptor Virdier, a man Master Caelestis has no preference for whatsoever. Master has reason to believe there may be a connection between this man and the dragon war that was currently waging up north. Seems like a mess, right?
My part left off where I was in the library doing research about the ancestry of the dragons, as well as other things I was interested in. It was after hours for the research side of the raid Heaven's Light was issued, and I was all by myself amongst the books. The last thing I found were words stating that my new friend, Ashura, was the Legendary of the most powerful dragon of all time, Aerion, King of the Heavens.
Ashura left off as part of the dragon-hunting team alongside Red, Nama, and Quint. Barely into their trip, Ashura's curse flared up violently, causing Quint to take her to Sano, our guild's main healer, and resulting in her arm getting cut off to prevent the spreading of what seemed like a form of contamination. After the two returned to continue the trip, they passed Boreas, a city annihilated by Aerion's presence, and found themselves in the midst of a dragon battle. Ashura was lifted in the claws of one of them, her cloak ripped off, and something impossible happened.
Well, it's about time we resumed our story, huh? What's to come includes some crazy adventures and some crazy betrayals. Listen and see for yourself what's in store!
