Practice

***Faiths P.O.V***

"What?" I ask. What did she mean by' She got into me'?

Lauren shook her head, "Dosen't matter now play your part properly!"

Like WTF did I do wrong. I thought I did quite well. Jade did to. I just ignored her and continued. It would sound a lot better with my electric guitar.

We started the song from the beggining again because 'apparenly we weren't good enough' the first time.

The bell rang. I started to get my stuff and leave.

"Whose house will we practice in?" I ask.

"We can practice at mine," Jade shrugged.

"Do you mind if I bring my electric guitar? The song would sound a lot better," I ask. Jade and Lauren stared at me.

"You play eletric guitar?" Lauren giggled.

"Yea. Why?" I ask confused.

"Well it's just cause I wouldn't think a nerd could play electric guitar, " Lauren laughed. I rolled my eyes, grabbed my guitar and left. As I walked away I think I heard Jade say, "Wow."

She is such a jerk. Why couldn't I just say that to her face?

***Jade's P.O.V***

"Wow..." I muttered as Faith walked away,

"What?" Lauren looked confused as to what I said,

"You. You Lauren. I actually thought for a few minutes, up until you went to get lyrics, that you were different. But no. And what do you mean 'Kate got into you'? Just another excuse so you can make a fake friendship with me and Faith? And then tear us down?

I walked towards Lauren, "You may be all this and that but I don't care. Not about your popular status or what any of you lot say. I can tell it's not the real you... But it seems you're too scared to be yourself, you're lucky I'm letting you come to my house to practice"

I turned to see Jerome, Ian and Sam at the classroom door. I started walking towards them, with out looking back I said;

"She's got you wrapped around her finger"

I left the room with out another word. The way populars treat others just annoys me so much and puts me in a bad mood,

"Jade what was that about?" Ian asked

"Nothing, don't worry about it" I replied quickly as I started walking to my next lesson, "I'll see you guys at lunch... Normal table"

After that I walked to my next lesson; Game Design. Unfortunatly no one from my group is in it... I guess I'll have to sit next to someone I don't know.

***Lauren's P.O.V***

She turned around and started walking towards her friends. "She's got you wrapped around her finger." She muttered, without looking back.

Wow. Her words hurt. A lot. But, I knew they were true. That's what really cut deep.

With my head hung in defeat, I strolled over to Kate, Mitch and Adam. They were all silent, their eyes burning into me. They had obviously seen the conflict between me and Jade.

"What. The. Hell!" Kaity screamed, her voice getting louder with each word. "Who does that little brat think she is? And Lauren! Why didn't you do anything? You let her walk all over you!" I just looked down in response.

"Don't worry, she's gonna get it!" Kate promised, smiling darkly.

"No!" I shouted. Kate stared deep into my eyes, causing me to look away quickly. "I will handle her, Kaity. I promise. She won't be the same person tomorrow. I'm gonna take her down a notch or two." I assured, mimicking her evil smile. She laughed.

She began to strut out of the room, whacking her shoulder against mine as she stopped behind me. She leant back slowly, and whispered in my ear,

"You betta."

This sent a shiver down my spine. I am scared of Kate. Everyone is. But, I don't know why.

I knew I could fight her, and win. I was the best fighter in the school. I had a back ground of kickboxing and bear-knuckle fighting. I had learned how to wrestle. I had gone through so much in my past, and every time I had fought my way out of it.

But, there was something about Kate that scared me to my core. Maybe it's the hold she has over everyone. Maybe it's because she could win every verbal fight she was in. Maybe it's because she scared everyone else is scared of her, and I'm just following their lead.

All I knew is that Jade was right. She had all of us wrapped around her perfectly manicured finger.
