Connors POV

Once Elle had left the room everyone's eyes fell upon me, I sighed and went to sit down on one of the chairs.

"How did it happen?" James asked quietly after a few minutes of silence.

"She was coming from their old house to mine and and the car broke down, she was calling for help when a lorry driver lost control and hit her." I explained, "It was pretty awful when we found out. Elle just left and didn't come home for hours and then she decided to go to school and she had that breakdown and had to be taken home."

"I remember that," Brad mumbled.

"Tristan was there when we found out and it must have looked pretty awful from his perspective." I said looking over at Tris, he was sitting silently staring at the wall. He looked up at the sound of his name and then went back to staring.

"I woke up with no idea where anybody was, Connor had disappeared and it was eerily quiet so I went downstairs and walked into the living room. They looked horrible, even Connors mum was crying her eyes out, Elle and her dad looked awful, I'd never seen anybody so fragile." He spoke not making eye contact with anyone.

No one could think of anything to say, a few minutes ago we were all hyped up about performing and now it had turned into a deathly silence.

"Silence really is a scary sound" Dougie mumbled. Suddenly, the door burst open and Elle strolled in, we all looked up at her but she stared directly into my eyes and I could sense something was wrong.

"Connor, I need to talk to you, please just come with me" she spoke urgently, she grabbed my hand before I had chance to respond and dragged me out of the room. She was pulling me towards one of the store cupboards, once we were inside she flicked on the light and locked the door behind us.

"Elle, what's going on?" I asked her, she was beginning to scare me.

"I figured I should tell you everything about what's happened in my past, just so there are no more surprises like with Tyler." She said, tears were already beginning to form in her eyes and I could begin to think about the horrors she had lived through.

"Ok, are you sure?" She merely nodded and wiped the tears away from her eyes. She took a deep breath before she began.

"When I started primary school, I was bullied because I was never really into the same things as anybody else. It wasn't really a problem until I was older and the bullying started to get physical. Because I spent so much time with Joe and Ed I was into more boyish things including the clothes I wore. So about 3 years ago when everyone started to care about what people looked like no one wanted to hang out with me." She had just began her story but I knew it was going to get worse.

"I was the weirdo with no friends but that never really bothered me, I like to be alone sometimes" she continued. "But then people would start pushing me around in the corridors, subtly though so know one would notice. Sometimes I came home with bruises up and down my arms and legs from being shoved into lockers and walls." I was shocked, I wanted to hurt the people who had hurt her but I knew she would never want me too.

"When I was about 14 I started liking music and my teachers always told me that I should give up because I would never succeed. Up until that point I thought I was pretty good at it but then I lost all my confidence. To be told by a teacher that you're never going to achieve your dream sucks and I took it hard. The bullying had gotten worse but I had grown used to it, it was when people started telling me kill myself when I began to question my life." I gasped, I was pretty sure I knew what was coming next.

"There have been times where I have been close to committing suicide but I never did, I guess I thought things would get better and they did. But not after I'd been through more than my fair share of bullying, abusive relationships, boys who have cheated on me and boys who have just used me for my body" I immediately froze, I was so angry at all these people who had hurt her, the people who had made her feel so inferia. She wasn't just some toy they could play with, tears were sliding down her face and I could feel them falling from my eyes. I pulled her into a hug and I'd never felt more protective over anyone.

"I'm not going to let anyone hurt you like that again, I'm so happy that you're still here and you deserve to be the happiest person alive. No one should go through what you went through because it's not fair and you deserve so much better." I whispered into her ear. I pulled away and she did the same and looked up at me. She didn't say anything she just wiped the tears off her face and began to walk to back to the others.

I followed behind her and wiped away my tears, she paused before we got the door, she took a deep breath and opened it to see 5 confused faces staring back at us.

ELLES POV

"What was all that about?" James asked looking concerned.

"Dad wanted to talk to Connor about me going back home." I lied casually hoping they wouldn't pick up on it.

"Wait, you're leaving?" Tristan asked, he looked shocked and sounded upset. I didn't like that I was lying to him but I wanted to go home, I didn't feel safe here.

"He doesn't think it's safe enough, we tried to talk him out of it but he wants me to go home." I lied again.

"But you'll come and visit us while we're on tour won't you?" Connor asked, I probably should have told him I was going home before we came in but he seemed to be taking it well.

"Sure, I'll come see you when you're near Birmingham" I was sad to be leaving the tour but I had things which needed sorting out.

"I'm going to miss you so much" Tris said wrapping his arms around me and picking me up.

"Tris, you've only known me for a month, I'm sure you can go a couple of weeks without seeing me." I laughed as he put me down. Tristan made me feel so short when I stood next to him. I only just reached his chest and I felt like a child with him.

"But you're my best friend" he said pouting at me. "You better not replace me"

"I won't don't worry" I laughed before turning to the other boys. Brad had remained silent the whole time but he finally spoke up.

"When are you leaving?" He whispered.

"Tomorrow morning, you still have to put up with me tonight" I winked at him and he seemed to cheer up a little.

We spent the rest of the night gathered in my hotel room watching movies and eating junk food, even Joe, Dean and the McFly boys had joined us. Once everyone had left I pulled out my phone and listened to the pre recorded voice message again letting the tears fall freely.
