Rosilda had known of her sexual feelings for a long time now. It had started when she was 12 and she had fallen for a maid at the palace. At first she had been terrified by it and she felt like something was seriously wrong with her, but she soon realised that there was nothing wrong with being a lesbian and she soon learned to accept it as who she was.
When Prince Taegen had arrived Rose had felt that nothing special would come out of, but when she'd seen Alyssa she had known that she was The One. Lyssie was different to that maid. Rose couldn't even remember the name of that maid, but now that she had feelings for Lyssie she knew that what she had felt for the maid had been nothing.
Rose longed to be with Lyssie, but there was just one slight problem: in Ipance and Othrany homosexuality was illegal. In Caeprasel homosexuality was accepted and if Rose and Lyssie could go there together they would be able to live in harmony together forever. But Bomani and Fianna would never let Rose leave the kingdom of Ipance-Othrany unless she was married, which at Tilde was much closer to achieving with Prince Edrym than Rose would ever be with anyone. If Rose and Lyssie were caught Lyssie would be banished and Rose would be executed.
