"Yes, I would love to have some tea, whatsyourname", Lora said, mockingly of my slow walking pace.
Elisa shot me a look of concern and suddenly looked away, serving an old married couple. As I poured tea in Lora's beautiful cup, I was watching, in the corner of my eye, a little boy that was next to her.
"Amatteroffact I bet she has no ed-u-ca-tion", the boy sneered in my face.
I smiled sweetly at the boy,"And what is your name"
"I didno ask for yo'r name I dun ask you if you have ed-u-ca-tion", spelling out the word again.
"Gwyneth Illaius, Elisa Jorkins, to the front of the train please", someone said over the loudspeaker.
Suddenly, the whole train car stopped. Burning hot tea went all over my blue maids uniform and burned my skin.
"OWW", I screamed, trying not to cry.
Elisa looked worse than me. Her brunette hair fell out of her usual bun and went all over her face. As we made our way to the front of the train she shot a confused look at me.
We were so far in our jobs that we were used to construction work. I shrugged in response and mocked her look of confusion. She sighed and walked ahead of me in the corridor.
Everyone, who was staff, were on the front of the train.
"Why did we stop", a waitress whispered.
Outside the train there were shadows of two men. They both held bright orange lanterns that illuminated in the night.
Should we open the door? Probably should not. Maybe theres construction. . .
There was a knock on the door of the train.
"You gon' let us in", a scruffy voice announced.
It became so silent that you could hear a pin drop from a mile away. There became some shuffling outside.
"Now I need'n someone to give me all the money in the safe"
Silence.
The shuffling noise became louder as Elisa looked at me with an frightened expression. I looked at everyone around me. No one looked like they were ready to do anything. Trembling, i opened the door. Outside the door were two men, both looked 20-something. One of the men had a cleanshaven face and a very grim expression. The other one Then it hit me, Buck Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, outlaws.
I felt the eyes of all my colleagues as I looked on the wall. Complete horror was on every face as I turned to the wall. There was one, single poster: WANTED BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID: STEALS FROM TRAINS AND COMPANIES, RANSOM: 50,000. Under it there was a rough sketch of both of them.
"The vault please", Sundance said,"Asummin' you know the password"
I just nodded my head as I walked past a cabin. When I opened the door the train car was full of anger that the car had stopped. Until, the people caught sight of Sundance they suddenly froze up. The boy from earlier looked bewildered.
"Don't be alarmed, everything is okay",I reassured them, putting my hands in the air, signaling I didn't have any weapons on me.
"Er. . .I see you have gon to your senses and finally took up robbing", the boy said, smiling deviously.
As I walked past the seats looks of worry, fright and sadness swept over people when we walked past. When I finally reached the vault I took a deep breath, It was the one thing I was regretting. I kneeled on the floor and twisted my hand on the lock and twisted it. 9-4-4 I immediately opened at my first time tugging it.
"She good at lock pickin'", Sundance muttered under his breath.
Dollars and coins spilled out of the big brown bag in the safe. Just then, the famous Butch Cassidy walked up the corridor with a rifle in hand.
"Got the money", he asked him with a grim expression on his face. Sundance picked up the bad of money and smiled sweetly.
"We ought to bring the girl with us", Sundance said.
A look of confusion spread across the robbers face when he heard this. An empty silence filled the air.
"Shes a good lock picker and she can pretend to be a waitress on the trains", Sundance explained.
Me? A robber?!?! I couldn't believe it as it dawned on me. I could be free from the train and everyone on the train could be free too. All I had do was join a gang.
"Yes"
"Wha?!?"
"I'll joi' your gang only if you let people go"
