Ko Hyemi

I dragged my sore legs with me as I walked to the train station,It seems uncrowded at night ,I stretched my arms in the air as I tilted my head backwards and yawned,This is what I get for over-staying at Miss Jaemin house for extra classes in the weekends,Well I better get an A+ on every exam I take because I didn't study that shit for nothing.

"One ticket to Hyeyinseok." I said, feeling my dry throat ache,The old man looked at me awkwardly as he slowly nodded, After receiving my ticket from the mission,I was ready to step inside the station,not until he stopped me.

"It's the last bus to Hyeyinseok for today,you're lucky you didn't miss it." I half smiled at him as I tightened my grip on the ticket.

"Be careful,it's late at night,it likely empty in there." He said,I slowly nodded
,"All I want is to go home." I said,sounding like a lost child,I got inside and sat on the nearest place I can reach,I stared around a bit to find it half empty here,some old couple and a family,some teenagers in my age too.

"Uh I'm so sleepy." I muttered to myself,I quickly pulled a water bottle from my bag pack and took a big sip and poured some on my hand and sprinkled it on my face making me blink aggressively as some drops landed on my left eye.

"Shit,this is not doing a thing." I gave up as I returned the water bottle to my bag-pack and stared at the empty place around me,Letting out a deep sigh as I admired the beauty of the black night sky decorated with the glowing shiny stars,A small smile crept on my lips and faded away when I remembered my mom.

"Mom will definitely kill me,Dad will scold me,but hey.."

"I study for the sake of our family." I continued mumbling stuff to myself as I waited for the train to arrive,I tried my best to stay wide awake.

I glanced at my phone,A wide grin appeared on my face as I checked my wifi signal.

"Cool,Free wifi." I then checked my Instagram and started scrolling and liking some of the uploaded photos.

A loud sound was soon to be heard across the whole place,I glanced Infront of me to see the train has already arrived and opened its doors,I continued scrolling on my phone as I walked through the doors,I'm still feeling so tired and sleepy that I can just lay in the cool ground for now,That amazing feeling when you step in and the air conditioner welcomes you with the cold breeze.

I kept holding my phone while my eyes scanned the whole place to see it wasn't full at all,When I say not full at all,I mean it,They are like four people in this stage,A girl in her school uniform,An old lady holding on her woody stick as she held her bag on her other free hand.

A guy who is sleeping on the last seat,I couldn't see his features quite right since it was covered by the bad lightening on the last row,And lastly me.

The door slowly closed as it made a creaked sound while I could feel the train started to move slowly,I shrugged it off and went back to my phone.

Did I tell you that the lightning here is super annoying?,It keeps on turning on and off,It's not a time to complain since I'm so tired.

"Oh it's mum." I said as my phone started buzzing on my lap,I quickly slide it to the right.

"Young lady,Where are you now?,It's getting really late and you're all alone!" She increased her voice at the last words,I heaved down a deep sigh before answering.

"I'm on my way mom,Relax okay." I said calmly in a soft voice,trying my best to not make her overreact on the phone.

"Ko Hyemi,Don't tell me things I need to avo--" and then her voice started to crack and fade away,I backed up my phone to see what's wrong,And it seemed like I've lost signal.

I stared at the ceiling awkwardly,I then shrugged it off,knowing that my mother will definitely bury me alive when I get there.

That's weird,There is no signal here either,Like Korea has the fastest internet service on the whole entire world,and you are on a train heading to your home,which actually falls to be in the center of Seoul,and there is no a glimpse of signal? Weird.

How interesting,but because I'm so lazy and tired right now,I will keep the investigation for later.

"Oh what!?" I hissed under my breath as my phone started to buzz again,This time,My battery was under 15%,I rolled my eyes as I shut down my mobile throwing it inside my bag pack.

'Well,That's leaves me to have a nap for the rest of my trip.' I thought to myself.

I took my last glance at the place before shutting down my eyes as I warp my arms around my bagpack hugging it tightly.

It felt like seconds pass by when someone poked me in my right arm causing me to flick in fear.

"Oh Miss, We already arrived." I furrowed my eyebrows,That fast?,I just closed my eyes to take a na-- Oh Hyemi,You may be extra bit little exhausted don't you think?

"Ah thank you." I quickly got up and slightly bowed my head to guy who woke me up,I quickly stormed out of the station and walked as quick as possible to my place.

I'm so lucky that I don't have to roam around the city much,Since our house is somewhere near the station,I stared at my neighbor house to find a beautiful garden of roses,I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"But they hate roses,They hate the color red,and They're allergic to this kind pacifically." I stared with a big look of confusion on my face,I soon came back to my sense and stopped staring at their way,I quickly ran to my house,I touched the cold knob and turn it,To find it was unlocked.

'They still want me as a child.' I chuckle at myself.

"I'm home!~" I sang,Surprisedly to find my whole family sitting on the dinning table that was attached with the main living room,A big smile was formed on each and one of them.

"Oh silly!,Of course you're home,We can see that." Mom giggled as the others chuckled,I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion,Taking off my shoes and kept holding my bagpack.

"Aren't you guys mad or something? I mean,Mom,You sounded angry on the pho-"

"Us? Angry? Why?,Honey,We understand that it's for your own good,And plus,You're independent on yourself!" Mom added,Oh god,Is this is true? Is this mom?

"Come sit and eat,You most be tired from all that hard work." Dad said smiling widely at me while holding his fork,I rubbed the nap of my neck and yawned while stretching my arms in the air.

"I don't know,I'm so tired,I want to go to sleep already." I said taking the first step on the stairs to my room,And suddenly someone cut me off.

"But Noona,We waited for you to come so we can have dinner at once." I stopped my actions right away and tilted my head to them slowly,Turning my gaze to my little brother.

"Did,Did you just call me Noona?.." I said awkwardly,They all stared at me awkwardly,this situation is awkward,What gotten into them?

Is it Christmas?,but I didn't wish that my family would change.
Is it my birthday?,But then,My brother would puke in a glass and give it to me as a morning milkshake.

"Umm,Yeah?" He said,Mom chuckled as she started to speak again,I turned my gaze to her slowly to find her smiling at me.

"Oh Hyemi,I think you're really tired after all." That was the last thing that escaped her mouth for now,I slowly nodded in rhythm at her words,Yeah,maybe I'm tired,Super exhausted.

"Go to sleep dear,Good night." Dad said as I shrugged it off,I was on the half way to reach my room when I heard someone shouting.

"Sweet dreams Noona!" Hanhyuk,My brother shouted across the house,I rubbed my head with both of my hands,moving them on a slow round motion,I don't know.
