It was a bright sunny day in Los Angeles. Mark was busy working in his home, setting up for Jacks arrival from Ireland. He had invited his boyfriend to come for his birthday so he wouldn't be alone, and he could be with him. He had to admit when he was home alone he got extremely lonely. Even with Chica there, it would be nice to have human contact. Eventually he had the banner hung up successfully that read, 'Happy Birthday Jack' in shimmery letters.
He heard a knock on the door and excitedly went to answer. Jack stood there with his suitcase, and a beanie on his head.
"Babe!" He pulled him into a bone crushing hug, smiling.
"Easy there big guy. Don't crush me." He sounded a bit off.
Mark pulled away taking a good look at Jack. He looked a bit paler than usual.
"Hey are you alright?"
"Of course I am. Why do ye ask?"
Mark frowned a bit. "You look kinda pale."
Jack shook his head. "I'm fantastic. Just a bit tired from the flight." He coughed a bit into his elbow.
"Sure you're not getting sick?" Mark was obviously worried. Jack looked into his big chocolate eyes and nodded.
"Nah I'm okay. But I missed ye a lot." He hugged his waist and put his face in Marks chest.
Mark smiled burying his face in Jacks hair. "The others should be here soon for the party."
"Party? Ye really went all out just for me?"
"Of course." He chuckled a bit, his chest rumbling against Jack's ear.
Jack smiled pulling away. "Is it okay if I put my things somewhere?"
Mark nodded. "Of course. Go set up in my room. We have a few minutes before the others get here."
Jack nodded carrying his bag upstairs to Marks room. As soon as he put the bag on his bed, a coughing fit came over him. He rubbed his temples with a groan, his face feeling warm.
"Shit not today..." He sighed, going into his bag, fishing out some Advil tablets. He took three before going back downstairs. Hopefully that would do the trick and keep him going through the night.
