Duckpool padded into camp, the picture of weariness. Her training session with Stormstrike was long and hard, but when she woke up she found the sun had only moved a little further across the sky. As she passed her clanmates they gave her odd stares and Minttail even bowed his head a little in her direction. I didn't want this! Duckpool felt like howling a protest at the sun. Neither Herontail or Pikefin were in the clearing, and she felt truly alone. Probably out patroling. Normal things. Duckpool sighed internally. Right now she could think of nothing better to do than sleep. Her sleep by the pool only made her more tired. She almost stumbled as she walked into the warriors' den.
Movement flitted at the edge of her vision. Duckpool cracked open an eyelid. By the sunlight streaming in, it had only been a few minutes since she fell asleep. The chestnut orange fur once again crossed her vision. She groaned aloud, for only one cat in the clan had fur that colour. Rosytoes!
"Hi!!! Hi Duckpool! Are you awake now?" That cheery voice obvoiusly didn't understand the sin it had just commited.
" I am now." Duckpool groaned again as she rolled into sitting position. "What is it, Rosytoes? I'm a bit tired."
"Well... I was wondering, How does it feel being famous? Happy? Annoying? Are you scared to be chosen? I know I wouldn't be! Do you like Stagstar now? Love? What's the Leader's den like? I know, I know, I've been there before but how does it look to you? Are you still going to do you warrior duties? What is the-"
"STOP!" Duckpool growled." As for those questions, my answers were : Annoying, no, no, What? Shut, shut shut UP!!!" Rosytoes tried her hardest to look crestfallen, but her face didn't know how to.
" No need to get so grouchy." She mumbled to her perfectly normal toes. "So... Annoying? Really? I would go for : Fabulous, Amazing..."
Duckpool sighed, and her chin landed on the moss with a thump.
