I smile and listen to the rain. I've always loved the rain. I love the sunshine too, but the rain is just peaceful. I close my eyes and lie back on my bed. My bedroom is in the attic so I can hear every drop splashing onto the roof, which is the best relaxation sound I'd say. I'm finally free. I think to myself. I have a whole year to do what I like. Best gap year ever or what? So tomorrow I'm off to Europe with Taylor, Sean, Nick, Ru,Brandon (yes all my best friends are boys). It's going to be amazing!
Through my headphones I can hear my mum yelling up the stairs, telling me that dinner is ready. I decide to ignore her until she physically comes into my room.
