12th October. 7:30 at night. Ferry home from Belfast.
Over night ferry then the 6-7 hour drive to London for the final shows of the tour.
"Okay guys?" I said the kids were shattered it was only a 3 hour ferry ride
"Mamma me tired." Grace said coming over to me and sitting on my lap.
"Go to sleep then babe. I wont stop you." I said and within a matter of minutes Grace was fast asleep in my arms.
The ferry ride past really fast. Just before departing from the ferry we all got back on the tour bus. I put Grace in one of the bunk she was still fast asleep. I thought about getting her changed but I didn't want to wake her. Lilly, Casper, Jessie and Ben got into their bunks to sleep. It was just gone half 11 at night when we docked it took ages to get off the ferry but we managed it. I was so tired and with a 7 hour drive to London I got into a bunk above Jessie.
"She okay Con?" James asked
"I don't know." Con said
"What do you mean you don't know." James said
"Honestly I think she needs a holiday. away from everything." Con said
"Why don't you take her away when tour is over?" Brad said
"Because she has to work and who would have the kids." Con said
"Hello." James, Charlotte and Trist said
"I couldn't leave the kids with you guys that wouldn't be fair." Con said
"Not with just one of us. Charlotte could have Grace and Jessie I wouldn't mind having Casper and James could have Lilly." Trist said
"I don't know. I don't think Rhianne could leave them all again." Con said
"Con it would do you and Rhianne the world of good to just get away for a week or two." James said
"And go where?" Con said
"Take her to the band house." Ash said
"America band house?" Con said
"Yeah." Ash said
Con didn't say anything.
"Just the two of you for 2 whole weeks. Chilling by the pool, using the bed..."
"Yeah thanks Trist." Con said smiling
"Take her away for her birthday. She'll like that she doesn't go back to work till after Christmas." James said
"Yeah....but we have a problem." Con said
"What?" Everyone said we hadn't told them we were getting a baby.
"We're having a baby." Con said
"Your what?" Everyone said looking at con in shock
"Not like that. We have a foster baby." Con said
"oh." everyone said
"Yeah." Con said
"Well I don't mind having the baby." Ash said everyone looked at him
"Oh come on I have younger siblings I used to help look after them I'm sure I can mange to look after a newborn for 2 weeks." Ash said
"I don't know Ash. He's got a lot of needs and in fairness it's not 100% that we're getting him yet." Con said
"when will you know?" Ash asked
"When we get back from tour." Con said
"Oh." Ash said
"Rhianne wouldn't leave him anyway if he did come to us." Con said
No one said anything.
"Just think about going away for her birthday Con." James said
"I will think about it." Con said
Everyone was in there bunks asleep when we arrived in London. It was 8:30 in the morning of the first London show.
"Morning guys." I said waking the kids up.
"Morning mum." Casper, Lilly and Jessie said
"Morning Rhi." Ben and Jacob said
"Come on clean clothes we're at the arena Jessie, Casper, Ben and Jacob your going with James, Connor, Michael, Brad, Trist and Sid to get showed. Jessie, Casper and Lilly we're stay at the flat tonight. the others are going to a hotel okay?" I said
"Yes mum." Jessie and Casper got out of bed and got their clean clothes from their cases.
"Good boys." I said as they walked past me.
Ben and Jacob got out of their bunks got their clean clothes and headed into the arena. Connor was waiting outside the tour bus for them.
"Lilly, me, you, Charlotte, Jodie and Grace are going to the female shower." I said
"Okay mum." She said getting out of bed and getting one of her dresses from her case. She waited until I had got Grace up and got our clean clothes and wash bag then we all headed into the arena to have showers.
"You look lovely Lilly." James asked when me, Charlotte, Jodie, grace and Lilly walked into the dressing room an hour later.
"Thanks James." Lilly said smiling
"Your welcome." James said
We all got sorted and while the boys had some interviews me, Charlotte, Jodie, Sid and the kids headed into London, we were going shopping.
All the kids needed new clothes as they were growing really fast.
Sadly I'd got a phone call from Liz to say that it would now be after Christmas before little man came to us. But me and con still needed to come up with a name.
"What about Blake?" Jodie said as we walked into the Disney store.
"George?" Charlotte said
"Bobby?" Sid said
"I like Blake." I said
Jodie smiled a smug look on her face.
"I don't know it's got to be a decision that me and Connor do together." I said
"What about Elliot?" Charlotte said
"Ethan?" Jodie said
"Oscar?" Sid said
I looked at him.
"No. Not Oscar." I said
Jodie and Charlotte glared at him
"Oscars a lovely name." Sid said
"Yeah it's also the name of the child me and con lost." I said
"Oh shit yeah. Sorry Rhi I forgot." Sid said
"It's okay. I don't expect everyone to remember." I said and I walked off to where the kids were looking at dressing up clothes.
"Idiot." Jodie said
"Twat." Charlotte said
As I walked over to the kids I thought about Oscar and how it had been so long since I'd been to his grave. I hadn't thought about him for a couple of months. Does that make me a bad mother? He would have been 15 now. That's a scary thought, in his last year of school.
I reached the children and pushed all thoughts of Oscar out of my head so that I could talk to the kids and laugh with them. But he was still at the back of my mind waiting for the next time I thought about him.
