A/N: Kill me now.
Kill me.
I keep writing sad stuff about ships, especially Jasper, but this time...
I've outdone myself.

Partly inspired by Linda Fairstein's book, Entombed.

*waits to see how much hate she gets*

Just for your info, I WILL write a Part 2. A *cough* happy *cough* one.

Also, some may say this fits Percy more, but let's face it. Who says Jason can't react like this when Pi-

Song is Sorry About Your Parents by Icon for Hire. Listen to it, it's actually really relatable.

"OOF!" Jason slammed into the building and rolled over, retching. He sat up a bit and stared at the swirling darkness of the mystery monster (yeah right, more like an octopus monster) that was in the courtyard which he had just been thrown from. "Stupid damn tentacle," he growled. Percy, Annabeth, Piper, Leo, Calypso, Frank and Hazel were all in there fighting now. He could hear Leo cussing like Arion from where he was. Percy yelled in defiance, then howled in pain - a sound that raised goosebumps on Jason's arms. Annabeth shouted something about retreating, then the seven of them emerged from the swirling darkness that was the entrance to the courtyard, running towards Jason.

"Hey, dude," Percy dropped next to Jason, cradling his arm. "How's it going?"

"Broken?" Jason asked.

"Feels like this thing was run over by Blackjack driving a army tank on a sugar high," Percy groaned.

Jason blinked. "Okay, I do not want to ask where you even got that image of Blackjack, and I don't even want to know." He prodded Percy's arm and Percy squeaked like a guinea pig. "Yeah, probably broken."

"The monster clearly doesn't like us disturbing," Annabeth panted. "Its octopus face was going redder and redder, so I just... yelled to retreat."

"You did the right thing," Percy sat up and kissed Annabeth on the cheek.

"I got hit by one of its tentacles," Jason told Piper, who was kneeling beside him. "Threw me out of the courtyard. Are you okay, Pipes?"

"Rest, Sparky," Piper smiled. "I'm okay apart from some bruises."

"Ambrosia?" Calypso waved a square around. "Anybody got some more?"

"Hang on, I do," Hazel tossed two more squares to Calypso. "Me and Frank are unharmed."

"Eat," Piper pushed some ambrosia and a canteen of nectar into Jason's hands, watching as he readily swallowed the food. Without knowing it, Jason's hand slipped into his pocket...

And came out empty.

Jason's mouth went dry.

Shit.

He looked around frantically and realised that it wasn't there.

Double shit.

It must have landed in the courtyard when the monster threw him out of it.

Triple shit.

"Did you forget something?" Piper asked, worry sl=parking in her multicoloured gaze.

"In the courtyard," Jason muttered.

"You're in no condition to get it," Piper stood up. "What is it?"

"A - a purple box." Jason stuttered.

"Is it important?"

"Yes."
