Chapter 2
Two hours later and I’ve almost finished packing everything I needed. Lorelai came over to help me pack after I called and told her what happened. I haven’t been able to tell Verity yet because she hasn’t come home from her soccer game. Usually I would be there but I told her I needed a break from soccer.
“I’m just worried about how she’ll take it Lor. You know me and her haven’t been separated for a long period of time.” I said worriedly as I pack away my photo albums.
“It’ll be fine. Your living with us so she’ll be able to see you anytime she wants.” She said reaching over and pinching my cheek.
“Ouch” I wined.
“Get over it.” She giggled tossing me my makeup bag.
I stiffened as I heard a door slam shut and a yelled goodbye.
“Its time.” Lorelai whispered.
“I’m not ready to tell her though!” I whisper yelled, as I heard Verity’s footsteps racing up the stairs.
“We won!” she screamed throwing the door open. “We wo… why are there boxes in here?” she asked, “We’re not moving are we!?” she almost screamed on the brick of tears.
“No we’re not moving, well your not at least.” I said sadly.
“What do you mean ‘well your not at least’?” she hesitantly asked.
Knowing I had to tell her I sighed, “mom kicked me out. I have another hour till my deadline to leave.”
“Where will you go?” she whispered, sitting down on the pink hanging seat.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be living with Lorelai so we’ll be able to still she each other.” I told her, kneeling down in front of her.
“I don’t want to be without you!” she started to sob.
“Shhhh. You have to be strong. And besides it won’t be for to long.” I said pulling her down and hugging her.
“No! If you’re going, I’m going!”
And so for the next hour we packed up Verity’s stuff.
After putting everything in Lorelai and mines cars we decided we would get a bite to eat before we went back to her place.
“I want subway!” Verity screamed.
“Well I want A&W!” Lorelai hollered back.
“But subways healthier for you.” Verity countered.
“And A&W tastes waaaay better.” Lor said putting her hands on her hips.
“Xenia, you be the deciding vote. A&W or Subway?” Verity asked turning to me.
“Well I do like Subway..” I said.
“Ha!” she screamed.
“Buuut, I really want A&W right now.”
“Ha!” Lor said back at Verity.
“God sometimes I think you two are actually five again.” I said getting into the line up.
“Hello, what can I get for ya…” the cashier asked looking up.
“Stryker, baby!” I said, throwing my arms out, almost like I wanted a hug, then leaning against the counter. “How long have you been working here?” I asked, grinning.
“Three days.” He grumbled.
“Naaaww isn’t this cute! Little Stryker went and got himself a job. I guess that makes him a big boy now.” I babied, leaning over and pinching his cheek.
“Whatever.” He said slapping my hand away. “So what did u guys want?”
“Three spicy mama burger combos please, no onions and extra pickles.” I said ordering for the fools who were to busy laughing so hard that they weren’t making any noise.
“Root beer to drink?”
“Pepsi.” I said with a snort.
“No need to be rude I’m just doing my job.” He said, “And will you two stop laughing!” he yelled at Lor and Ver.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry, it’s just… this is like the last place I thought we’d find you of all people working!!” she said between a giggle.
“Ya, ya. Here’s your food, have a good day.” He said, glaring at us and handing us our tray.
“Have fun Stryker baby.” I said picking up our tray and walking over to a table.
“I can’t believe he works here!” Lorelai said picking at her fries.
"I know! It just doesn't seem like his scene, I see him as more of a mechanic." Ver said.
'Hmm’ I agreed, picking up my burger and eating it.
~~~~wheeeeeeee! time jump~~~~~~
"MOM! WE'RE HOME!!" Lorelai yelled, her voice echoing threw the house.
"In the kitchen!"
"Hey mom!" we all said at the same time, taking turns giving her a hug.
"Hey girls."
"What’s for dinner?" Lorelai asked.
"Lasagna and ceasar salad."
“Wooo” I said, shoving my fist in the air.
“Mind setting the table girls?” mom asked.
“Sure thing”
*~*~*~after dinner*~*~*
“I’m boooored!” I whined, flopping down on Lorelai’s bed.
“Me to.” “Same here” Lor and Ver said together, flopping down next to me.
“Wanna work on your rooms tomorrow? Lor asked.
“OMG! YESH!” I said, shooting up from my position.
“Awsome! I’ll just go tell mom so we have some money” she said, getting up and walking out the room.
“What should our theme be?” Verity asked, looking at me.
“Well I was thinking of a purple and pink theme….”
*~*Next day after decorating room*~*
Putting my hands on my hips I looked around the room.
"Well I think we did a pretty good job here."
'Mhmm!' they agreed.
Our new room now had dark purple walls with different sized magenta poke a dots. Our carpet is fluffy and hot pink. We painted our dressers the same colors as the walls so they would match. We both had queen sized beds, Ver had a fluffy purple comforter and a bunch of fluffy pillows with deep purple curtains going around it, mine was the same but my stuff was all baby pink.
“Well I think we did a pretty good job in here." I said placing my hands on my hips.
"Agreed." Lor and Ver said.
