Best Friends Forever

Chapter 1: Best Friends

"Your phone is ringing!" Zena's phone rang, "Your phone is ringing!!"

"Hello," Zena groggily answered 

"Get your butt up ," Sebastian, Zena's best friend replied.

"Good morning to you too, Sebastian."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll be there in 20 minutes, bye." Sebastian said as he hung up the phone.

Zena and Sebastian had been best friends since they were born. They had similar birthdays and their moms were best friends. Everyone called them the "Wonder Twins, " and they knew everything about each other. They attended Hill High School in Richmond, Virginia and had the same routine every morning. 

Sebastian was Zena's alarm clock and they rode in either one of their cars. It had been this way since their fifteenth birthday. The schedule hadn't changed a bit since and they loved it. When they were younger, people thought they were dating and the Zena and Sebastian shut the rumors down immediately. Zena was mostly the weird one and Sebastian was usually the calm one who occasionally changed personalities when he was upset

Zena finally chose the right outfit and took a shower.

She wore a grey, days of the week emoji shirt, acid wash ripped blue jeans, and grey/multicolored huaraches. 

"Get your butt out here!" Someone yelled.

Zena looked out of her window and saw Sebastian outside waiting for her.

Zena grabbed her bag, jacket and keys and ran down the step

" Bye Mom, bye Dad." 

"Bye, Zena, love you," replied her parents.

Zena sashayed out of the door and was not at all surprised to see her best friend Sebastian waiting for her.

" What's up, big head," Sebastian teased.

" First of all, your head is bigger than mine and second-"

"Second, we're late and we still gotta get breakfast, so let's go," Sebastian said.

"You know me so well, but fine, drive the car," Zena said snarky.

Sebastian started the car, a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, and they pulled out of Zena's driveway. They drove through Richmond until they reached Dunkin Donuts. They went through the driveway and ordered Sausage bagels and frozen Caramel Lattes. Once they reached the school, Zena texted their friends to tell them they were at the school.

"Aubrey said their waiting for us on the stairs," Zena told Sebastian.

"Our friends have been there since we left your driveway. They probably took a nap while we made our way here," Sebastian sarcastically replied.

They made their way to the north stairwell where their friends, Aubrey, Isaac, Lance, and Kayla, were waiting.

"Look who it is," Lance yelled," the Wonder twins."

"Shut the hell up, Lance," Zena lashed out.

The group dispersed in throughout the hallways and walked to class. Ciana and Aubrey in English Lit., Isaac and Kayla in Geometry and Sebastian and Lance in World Geography. And officially, the day had begun.
