"Park City, what's so special about this place," Melody asked as their car sped down the Interstate highway, then turned of at the exit sign that read Park City twenty mile.
"You'll see when we get there," Mark said, liked a little kid with a big secret.
Melody look out the window at the different kinds of crops that were planted on the land. The tall corn tops swayed with the slightest of breeze. They looked like green ballerina dancers with one foot on the ground and the other parts spinning around.
The next field was planted with what looked like popcorn on sticks. She closely looked at and still couldn't figure out what it was.
"Are you going to tell me what growing out there, I know it can't be popcorn." she said.
Mark chuckled," are you sure?"
"Yes I want to know what is it," Melody an.
"It's cotton."
"No it's not."
"Okay look way over to your right. See that square bail?"
"Yes."
"That's the cotton bailed up with out the rest of the plant. Now the farmer can take it to market."
"Is it worth a lot?"
"It depends on the market, but you can believe that they make good bit on it." Mark said.
He stopped the car at the gas station at the edge of Park City. Melody got out to stretch her legs and use the bathroom. She was seven months along in the pregnancy, and had to go frequently. This was her first and she was slightly concerned.
"Your not going to believe this," Melody said.
"Try me," Mark said with a smile.
"The bathroom was clean, they had soap, toilet paper and it smelled nice."
"That's good,"
Mark had visited two months earlier and found it pleasantly quaint, but he needed Melody's approval before buying a house for them. They drove into downtown and parked in front of the only Realtor's office in town. Annette opened the door to let them in the office.
Annette found an extra cushion for Melody's chair.
"Thank you," she said.
"Since we last talked another house has become available if you want to look at that one too, you are qualified for both," Annette said.
"That sound great, I'll have a choice," Melody said.
"I know you're gonna love it here, we just have to sign a few papers and then I can show you the houses," Annette said.
Mark signed the papers and they followed her in their car. Melody could believe how beautiful everything was. They pulled up into the wrap around driveway of the first house.
The house had a double Queens Ann's rooms on each front side with a wrap around porch. The white lace curtain with the honey color molding made it gorgeous. They walked on the porch and Annette unlocked the realtor's lockbox then unlocked the front door. She open both of the double doors.
The huge room's granite floor had a high shine. To the right was a library, to the left was a family room. Ahead to the right was a wooden stairway that when up to the second floor.
