There once was a girl,
When she was happy, you would know it.
Because her eyes sparkled.
But one day,
Her happiness was stolen.
The man she loved, no longer loved her.
Her eyes no longer sparkled.
She went a week, a month,
A year.
She wasn't happy.
Nobody could make her happy.
Then there was a day,
She saw hope on the horizon.
She was happy again.
She saw him.
Their eyes met,
Not a word was said,
Not yet.
But her eyes had that sparkle once again.
