Warning: Chapter one starts in the summer before 7th grade (before season 1)
I grabbed the ticket and ran, ran as fast as I could down to the train station, I ran faster than I ever have before. My mom wasn't home. She is never home. My dad hasn't been home for 9 years. My grandma wasn't home either. So, I grabbed the train ticket that I found on the ground yesterday and ran down to the station. The ticket said the train left at 8:00 AM and it was 7:59 that day. I didn't even care where my mom thought I was, I didn't care where I was going. As I entered the train, I realized I hadn't really checked where I was going, and I hadn't checked how I would get back. I just needed to get away. Riley was traveling down to her family's college reunion so she wouldn't have none.Yesterday, I found a wallet outside of my house with no credit cards, or ids, just a bunch of cash, and a train ticket. I figured if I wanted to come back from where I was going I could just buy another train ticket with the cash. A while later (after a bunch of sleeping and missing calls from my mom) I arrived somewhere. I finally look at where I was going. "TEXAS!" I yelled and then completely regretted it. Then I realized it's better than home. But I honestly don't know how I am going to get back. Or where I am staying. When I got off the train I saw so many people in cowboy hats, and weird outfits. I looked around and I saw the weirdest thing, a kid, wearing a weird orange turtleneck. I wouldn't think Texas people would wear turtlenecks. I wouldn't think anybody would wear turtlenecks, except for- the kid turned around, "FARKLE?" I screamed and then ducked behind a sign. "You okay there miss" A teenage boy behind me said, " Um" I looked up. Wow. This guy looked perfect. I have never seen anybody that looked as perfect as him. "Yeah" I looked back over in farkle's direction, but he wasn't there anymore. That was probably just in my mind. "Maya?'' I turned around. "'sup" I said. "How did your mom afford a trip to Texas?" I looked up at Farkle again, just stared in his eyes. I thought about that perfect guy. Perfect. He was perfect. I wonder what school he goes to. "Maya, your mom isn't here is she," I didn't listen, I can't get that guys face out of my mind. I played back the words in my head, You okay there miss? I can't get that cowboy hat, the plaid shirt, then his eyes sparkled, the way his face was- well- perfect. "Maya" Farkle grabbed my arm. "Is your mom here?" I whispered, "no" he just grabbed my arm harder (not to hard though it's Farkle) and talked to him dad for a minute. "Maya, it's not scientifically possible for you to stay alive here alone so you're coming with me" There I go. I wanted to budge but the Riley in my head just pushed me more. I only budged because I was to focused on the thought of the Texas boy. I knew I would never see him again. "Farkle. If you are going to take me home at least let me get my stuff." He looked at me "We are not leaving for an hour and ten minutes and three seconds, be back here then" He is so stupid. I am obviously not going back. I turned around and went over to the area where I saw that boy. I don't hope. I will never hope. Hope is for suckers so I will never hope. But I hope to see this boy. I hope that he comes back over here. I hope he moves New York. I know its never happening. I know. I just want to be with him. I can never tell Riley. She will hope for me to hope more. There is just too much hoping in this situation. "RINGGGGGGGGGGG" I heard a loud bell. And then there he was. The boy. He was running into the large building that looks like a school. I watched him run, I wanted to follow him, and 3 minutes later I was right in front of a classroom. He had just went into it. I don't know why I did that. Why am I here. Why. But I can't leave. I don't know why. Someone yelled. "LUCAS!" I heard, "LUCAS HELP!" Then the boy, the one I saw, ran out. Lucas. I thought then I followed him. There was A little dark skinned boy being held up against the lockers by the neck by a big, muscled kid. Then the boy, the perfect one, ran over and punched the big kid in the face and sat on his chest. I was so confused. Then the perfect boy grabbed the bigger kid by the neck and I didn't really focus on what was happening next, he either choked him or punched him. "RUN" the guy yelled at the dark skinned boy. He did as he was told. Soon after, a teacher ran out of a classroom grabbed the perfect guy and yelled at him. I ran out. I ran back to the train tracks. I was scared. But the boy was protecting his friend, he is still perfect. I want him to come to New York, I want him to like me. Farkle grabbed my hand. I didn't even know he was here. "So you came back to me" I didn't answer I just kept thinking about the maybe or maybe not, perfect boy.
