The train came to a holt and people crowded the rows. My eyes were stapled to the window , although my mind went far. I was coming back , to my childhood. We all were. It was scary at the least. But we had to , for the sake of my mother. I tossed my hair into a ponytail before clutching my suitcase between my finger tips. It was time to meet my biggest fear , my worst nightmare.
I was coming home.

The town was quiet. I had stopping at a coffee shop , ordering myself a cold ice coffee. It was a grey place ; almost a retirement place. I sat myself into a chair , pulling my laptop from my messenger bag.

I miss you with all my heart and can't wait to see you in three days. Please make sure you keep care of captain snuggles. If not that will be your ass! I love you and don't touch my corn dog sticks. -
Your one and only love , Rowen

A grin plastered on my face nice I hit send. " Ice coffee , four splendors , two table spoons of milk." The young girl slid the cup to me , retreating afterwards. I slammed my laptop shut , stuffing it into my bag.
" Rowen?" The voice sent me into shock , darkness rolling over me. I breathed before peering up. His brown eyes gleaming. " Dad." The words slipped out. The truth was , he wasn't my father. I at least hoped he wasn't. When I had turned 16 my mothers birthday present wasn't a brand new shiny car , it was the fact that I had been lied to my whole , life , and the father I loved to called father wasn't my father after all. It was vice versa.

I had heard rumors of my mothers affair when I was 13 but alway beater around the bush hoping it was nothing , but a rumor. It had killed me when I had found out all of my siblings had the same father accept for me. Ever since that day I sat in room to never come out. I separated myself from the people I thought as family. When I had turned 18 I moved From this ghostly town to a city of New York.

" I mean Eric. " I stuttered. Gathering my stuff; I brushed past him not staring back. I slipped into my car and put it into ignition. After moments of settling a took a breath.

I pulled up to the curve , pulling the key from its placement. I began to panic at what awaited me inside. Patches of memories unfolded in my head.  Pushing the, behind I stepped out into the cold wind. The trees waved , greeting me. I took a gulp of fresh air and strolled up the path of the home. The deck was the same. The house , a grey-ish  blue. The chair rocked silently. I stared at it for what seemed hours before remembering why I'm here. My finger tips stung momentarily until I banged my knuckles against the dark wooden door. I heard footsteps behind the door before it swung wide open. "Rowen!" Alexis squealed pulling me into a tight hug.  I stiffened at her touch before remember her , us. She wasn't only my sister , but my bestfriend. My arms wrapped around her as we waddled back and fourth , giggling. Her palm met my face. " Oh wow , my baby sister looks so old." I slapped her chest. Rolling my eyes I stepped into the house. It seemed the same. The stairs flooding down the entrance  meeting the front door. Vases stood on each side.

My mother envied lilacs. Although she could never find any , on Mother's Day Alexis and ventured for them and soon , found them.

A thin red and gold rug sat in the middle of the stairs. I peered into the next room , where the white tiled fire place was , once being red brick. Two white leather chairs faced each other in from of the heated fire.

" Lemme help you with your one luggage." My sister teased. " I wasn't planning to stay, she is dying soon." I said nonchalantly crossing my arms. " Look I know you're mad at her , but everything she has done for you , for us , is because she loves us. Please be nice , for me. I don't want her last memory of you to be filled with sadness." She rubbed my arm.
I nodded and she departed up the stairs. I flattened out my silk business suit and strutted to the long mirror that hung in the laundry room hall. My eyes sagged along with the black circles around it , I look exhausted. Letting my hair fall around my frame I turned on my heels. I stumbled back at the profile leaned against the wall. " Hi to you." Christian said turning away , and disappearing around the corner.  I held my chest , scrunching the fabric of my shirt into my palm.

" Okay I set up your room , all of us are meeting at the hospital to pick up mom. You can tag along if you'd like." She spoke softly. I shook my head , smiling. " It's fine I'll see her when she gets here." I  replied pasting by her and climbing the stairs. I stopped at the top. " Do you know why Christians here?"  I said staring down at her. " Although he has a different mother , he has the same father as-"
" As you guys." I interrupted.
" Mom wanted him here." She slipped out. I nodded slowly before strolling down the hall.
