Mistakes

Sophomore  year in high school was amazing! I had tons of friends and everyone knew me, I had no enemies, no drama , and was in a relashionship with the hottest boy in school,Joel Pimental, the love of my life. Or at least the person that I thought was the love of my life.After school ended , in the summer, everything started going downhill.

I woke up the first day of summer at exactly 11 am.I walked up to my window and moved my cutians,opened my window and soaked in the fresh breeze from outside,I could hear birds chirping, and little kids playing outside.It seemed like a perfect day,in my currently perfect life.I changed into some shorts and my white "idk google it" crop top.I already made plans with Joel to go get some breakfast and then go to the movies and watch 'Me Before You' .I texted him that I was on my way.
I ran downstairs and grabbed my purse and walked out to my car, a shiny ,new,red convertible.I Connected my phone with my aux cord and started listening to 'Panic at the Disco' "Nicotine". I finnally got Joel's.
I knocked on his door the way I always knock , Like in frozen when Anna was asking her sister Elsa to go build a snowman, It's me and Joel's thing.There was no answer , I decided to knock again a little louder this time but there still was no answer.
"Well that's weird", I thought.I got the key from under the 'Welcome' mat , Joel got it for me so I can sneak into his house when his parents wern't home.
Yeah sure, go ahead judge me, but just letting you know, me and Joel have had more 'Netflix' than 'Chill' . Like we've already watched so far ALL of 'The Vampire Diaries' and ALL of 'Pretty Little Liars' but obviously, we read the book series first.
Any ways I placed in the key and looked at an empty living room. I decided to head up stairs to his bedroom . I grabbed the door nob and was about to open it when I heard Joel say ,
"Damn Girl!We've only done this a few times, stop rushing!We have to go and w-". I opened the door and Caught Joel laying down with his top off and a bandana over his eyes and my so called 'bestfriend' , Rebbecca on top of him!He quickly took off his bandana and stared at me wide eyed, and then at Rebbecca , and back at me.I suddenly felt tears falling down my face.
"A Few Times?!" I said with a squeaky voice.
"LILY! It's not at ALL WHAT YOU THINK!" Joel exclaimed.
"Oh, it looks exactly like 'what I think'."
I walked out of the door and slammed it, ran downstairs and headed outside to my car.I started my engine and saw Joel running towards me with teary eyes.
I took off without looking back. I decided to call my friend Abbigail but she didnt pick up, I called Daphne but it sent me straight to voice mail.
"DAMN IT, Why To Me?!" I yelled .
I was parked in front of my house and ran upstairs to my room. My brother Alex,was going towards his room to, with some Ramen noodles. He saw my face and just stood there with a suprised look in his face. I shut the door to my room and layed down in my bed.I loved him, I really did and I believed that he loved me too. Someone knocked my door and opened it. It was Alex with his Ramen and a big bucket of Ice cream.He sat down at the end of my bed and handed me the ice cream and a spoon .
"I read online that this helps teens with girl drama. " he chuckled.I smiled a little smile and then took a spoonful of ice cream and shoved it into my mouth.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" he asked,
" I caught Joel with Rebbecca."
"Ouch , that must've been horrible." he went in and hugged me.
"who knew that my little brother would actually be helping me?" ,
"Hey!I'm only a year younger!" he laughed, I smiled.He then got serious and asked,
"Are you going to tell mom and dad?" ,
"It's better if I don't, I Dont want her to go and start drama with him." ,
"true." . He started picking up and opened the door, he turned around and asked in an obvious tone,
"Are you coming?"
"Where?"
"To the movies, duh!"
"Ummm, watching a romance movie with my brother?! I think I'll pass."
"Heck Nah! I meant 'Finding Dory' ! I've been waiting years for this!" I laughed and wiped off my tears and then headed towards the door.
   We came back home around 8 with some dairy queen and food from chipotle . Mom and Dad were home from work and were discussing something in the kitchen table.
"Alex and Lily, me and your dad have something important to say."Mom said with a serious tone but a big smile on her face.
"WE'RE GOING TO MIAMI!"Dad yelled with excitement.
"Yesss!A vacation!"Alex yelled with delight.
"Actually we were planning on actually living there!I got a promotion and I'm Vice President of my company now!Don't worry,you guys can come and visit your friends during winter break."Dad said with a glow of joy in his eyes.I was completely speechless and so was Alex.

"Lily,I'm sorry if this might complicate your relationship with Joel but you have to understand that this is what's best for all of us."Mom said sincerely.
"It's alright mom,I can keep a long distance relationship."I said trying not to cry because I know that I can't even keep a relashionship with a boy that lives two minutes away from my house, well,old house.
"Awww,thanks honey for understanding.Well now both of you go upstairs and start packing,we got a big day tomorrow!" Well wish me luck.
