Time is something no one can master. It's more powerful that anything - able to take life away in an instant.

The stairs creaked under me as I pulled myself up into the attic. It was dark, with the only source of light pouring from a small four-pane window at the back. Dust floated in front of me, made visible by the sunlight. Everything was still, as if time had somehow stopped.

I smiled and shook my head. I needed to get to work with the piles of worn boxes that surrounded me. My grandfathers death was devastating, especially for me. All those weekends I spend with him really tore down my mental stability. But, having no other living relatives other than me, I was picked to go through his things and grab anything worth keeping.

*Bzzt*

"Ya?" I spoke into my phone, still looking around the room. I heard a sigh on the other end.

"Jackie! It's Tyler. How are you?" My audacious laugh traveled around the room.

"Tyler. You always call at the right time. I'm doing okay. Lots of boxes here, though." I tucked my phone in between my neck and shoulder and started to make a path through the room so it would be easier later.

"Yeah, well. I noticed I'm in your area; iimtmuhhmhmneed any help with those boxes?"

"Yeah, I do." I said, looking around the room. I"How soon can you be here?" I head a click away from downstairs. Moments later
