'Come closer' the shadows whisper
and come closer I do
They welcome me in the darkness
pitch as black.
Feeling at home in the cold, damp darkness.
The shadows
they whisper oh so sweet nothings in my deaf ears
But I hear again when they say they can promise
Promise me power and love
With a sinister smile on their faces
but unseen by me in the dark
I ask 'what's the catch?'
lil ole me listens to their deal
'Just one life?' I ask
They say yes
just one kill
then all would be mine
A sinister smile that rivals the shadows makes its way onto my lips
Selfish ole me finds that one life
Just one
Is a simple price for everything to be mine
My smile widens as I take the knife in the middle of the night
And plunge it
Plunge it deep into my own heart
The shadows rejoice
giving me praise as my life slips away
They promise me everything will be mine
My eyes close
Only to reopen
to see myself on my throne
A sinister smile on my face
As I over look my place in hell
For power I now have
and a frown now on my face
But I do not have love
to have in this place
The shadows whisper 'love you will have'
but a glare and a snarl is my response
'I shall walk the earth, for millennias to come
till I find my love
my partner in crime
In time
shall be mine'
for I feel no love in hell's heat
my heart only does beats on mortal soil
Soon again I shall walk the earth
looking for love all over the place
For one day
I will find my love
And to hell we will return
to rule over the heat
and with us together
we will not be beat.
