Taehyung watches as the blaring red lights of the yellow taxi grows smaller and smaller before finally disappearing around a corner. He didn't want to believe what Namjoon had said a month ago but it was true, (y/n) was a completely different person now. So different that she didn't even need him in her life anymore. She made it clear that she didn't need him, but he needed her, and never in his life had he felt so lost.

Taehyung re-enters the building, blowing out all the candles before taking a seat at the table made for two, "what am I suppose to do now," he whispered to himself as he let the bitter words you left him with fill up his heart.

Monday in Psychology

It had been four days since the incident with Tae. You felt bad for leaving him on New Years Eve but what were you suppose to do; you couldn't just keep playing along with it. It was clear you didn't have any feelings left for him. Instead, you were kind of crushing on Namjoon. How have you never notice how attractive he was? He had the brain, personality, and body. He was definitely your ideal type. You sigh as you try to figure your life out.

"Why the long sigh?" Namjoon asked, taking a seat next to you.

"Hm? Oh nothing. Just didn't get enough sleep," you laugh. "What's new right?"

He laughs, "True true. Oh! How was dinner with Tae the other night?"

"Oh um. It was okay. I actually left early because I wasn't feeling well."

"Oh are you getting sick?" Namjoon puts his hand on your forehead, checking your temperature.

Your cheeks flushes bright red, "Oh no it's nothing!" You pull away from his touch.

"You sure? Your face is awfully red. Do you have high blood pressure or something?"

"No it's fine, it's just kind of hot in here," you laugh uneasily.

"Alright. If you say so," Namjoon gives you a weird stare. "Speaking of Taehyung though, where is that boy? Class is about to start."

"Oh uh I don't kn-"

Right as you were replying to Namjoon's question, Taehyung had walked right through the doors. Fuck, you thought to yourself. You had secretly prayed for Taehyung to not show up to class today. God it's going to be so awkward.

"Aye what's up," Taehyung fist bumps Namjoon before turning to give you a bright smile. "Wake me up when this class is over," he said as he took a seat next to Namjoon.

"It's the first day of class," Namjoon hits him.

"Exactly."

Okay good? So he isn't acting different. That's good right? You were confused and worried at the same time. Is he not upset at you or does he not understand what you said? You accidently let out a frustrated groan amidst your thoughts.

"You okay?" Namjoon grins at you.

"Huh? Oh yeah, just trying to remember if I locked my doors or not," you smile.

"Nice." Taehyung said with his head on the table.

Your eyes couldn't help but wander over to Tae's sleeping body. You felt uneasy, why was he acting like everything was okay? Maybe you're just over thinking it, you thought as the teacher dismisses class.

"Yah. Wake up," Namjoon shoves Taehyung's shoulders.

"Five more minuets," Tae replies half awake.

"Ima leave your ass here if you don't get up," Namjoon hits Tae again.

"Okay okay," Taehyung groans. "You know, you remind me of my mom."

Namjoon smiles, "That's because I am. Anyways, you guys wanna go grab lunch at the new Pizza place a few blocks from here? Heard it was really good."

"Uhh, I-"

"I can't," Taehyung grabs his backpack, "I already have plans but you guys have fun!"

"What? Plans? Wait tae!" Namjoon shouts at Taehyung but he was already out the door.

You stare at Namjoon with a confused look, "Uh?"

"Just us?" Namjoon pats your head.

"Guess so."

Namjoon left after lunch to get to his next class as you sat in the pizzeria alone, contemplating your whole life. "Why is everything so difficult," you said aloud. Truthfully, you had thought giving up on Taehyung would make things easier. Maybe you're feelings with sort themselves out? Yeah maybe you didn't have feelings for him now but perhaps it could grow in the future? But then there was Namjoon. "Ugh! Whatever, I need a hot bath," you stood up to pay for your meal before heading home.

With the end of spring and the beginning of summer, life had gone on. Taehyung had found new friends and with each friend he made, he drifted further and further away. Namjoon occasionally questions why Taehyung had suddenly cut both of you out of his life, but all you could do was nod and pretend like you didn't knew anything.

It was about two weeks into summer break when you decided to take a stroll down to the park for some fresh air at seven in the morning. You look outside to see that it was lightly raining so you put on a light rain coat before heading out. As you got down to the first floor of your building, you spotted two figures by the elevator making out. The boy had his back to you but you couldn't help but think that it looked familiar.

You continue on your way to the front door, minding your own business. As you opened the door to leave you hear the voice of the girl by the elevator and realized that it was Mina, your roommate, your best friend since first grade, practically your sister. "Since when did she have a boyfriend?"  You thought to yourself. Curious, you turn around to figure out who this new boy toy of hers was. "Yah. Choi Mina. When'd you get a boyfriend?" You tease as you approached her, your mouth drops wide open when you realized her boyfriend was the very person you had let go of, Kim Taehyung
