'He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life'
-Muhammad Ali-Chapter 4- Guys Giving Birth
As a little girl, I've always wanted to fall in love and live happily ever after, just like all the Disney movies I watched. What those movies didn't teach us that it isn't an easy process. As I grew older, I began to realize that I wasn't going to bump into my Prince Charming and instantly fall in love.
Yet I always had that tiny spark of hope. I've dreamt about that guy that would fight for my heart. Look what reading so many books has done to me...
My trail of thoughts takes me to the scene of the fight. "What happened?" I state stopping Blake from punching Mike.
He lets go of him and walks towards me. I raise my hand stopping him from getting any closer. "Everyone go home. That's enough for today," I order while maintaining eye contact with Blake.
"Both of you wash up and leave. I don't want to see anyone right now." I turn around and leave.
As I walk back to my office to gather my belongings, everyone bids their goodbyes and lights are slowly turned off.
My thoughts drive me through the big apple's streets and before I know it I'm stepping out of the elevator.
I look around the dark penthouse and unbutton my shirt as I ascend the stairs to find Blake waiting for me at the top.
"What are.." I'm interrupted by him pushing me against the wall. He leaves a trail of kisses along my neck, but I push him off of me.
"Looks like you don't understand the concept of leaving a girl alone," I button my shirt and cross my arms.
Blake's eyes darken and I roll my eyes. "Don't make me call security Blake. Just leave," I sigh and walk into my room. He grabs my hands to get my attention. I turn to look at him and wait.. He lets go and leaves.
I've waited for ten years and never complained. It's time he learns how I felt. I never said I was going to be easy.
\\Unknown POV\\
"Give me a month and we'll be filthy rich. Whether the slut is dead or alive."
\\Blake POV\\
I grab the vase and throw it across the room. "That piece of shit!" Nash and Aiden put their hands on my shoulder to calm me down.
"He can't do that! He won't do it!" I attempt to convince myself. "She can't find out, not now."
This reminds me of the time of the bet, a decade ago. Here the events repeats itself again, but with a more serious tone.
"Blake calm down," Grace stands up, "for Autumn. I know it's hard Blake, besides we're here for you."
Alice nods, "yes and... Oh god, my water broke." Aiden jumps and picks Alice up.
"Meet us at the hospital. Grace grab the necessities and dump it in any bag," Aiden states and rushes out of the house with Alice laughing in his grasp.
We all stand up and run around the apartment grabbing things a pregnant woman might need.
"DON'T FORGET CLOTHES FOR THE BABY! BLAKE, MAN UP AND TELL AUTUMN TO MEET US AT THE HOSPITAL!" Grace shouts.
Taking in a deep breath, I dial Autumn's number. With each beep, my heart beats faster and faster until the line picks up.
"Blake I told..."
"I'm not calling for that Autumn. Alice's water broke and we're all going to the hospital. Meet us there," I take in a deep breath waiting for a reply.
"Okay," she curtly says and ends the call.
||Few Minutes Later||
//Autumn's POV//
"Where is Alice?!?" I rush into the corridor and bump into Blake.
I look at him then shift my eyes to Nash and he points inside a room.
"I can't go in there. It's too hard," he mumbles.
"Well I wonder how it'd be like if guys give birth. It'd be more dramatic than an episode of Keeping Up."
I walk in as my phone rings, "hello."
"DID THE BIRD POP OUT OF THE EGG?" I laugh and mouth 'the Twins' to Alice and Grace.
"Hi guys, not yet."
"Well we're in the airport. Tell Alice to keep pushing and we'll see you then." They end the phone call and I shift my attention to Alice.
I grab her hand, "how are you love?"
"Welllll I'm in labor. We're waiting."
"Why can't he or she come out already," Aiden states and Grace pats his head.
"Guys will never get it. It's not an easy process," Alice calmly says.
The doctor walks in and hands a pair of gloves to Aiden. "You're going to help me deliver."
We all laugh as he nods, might I add that his face is turning white.
|| 7 hours later ||
"IT'S COMING I CAN FEEL IT!!"
"Start pushing love!! We're all here for you."
"Okay Alice, take in a deep breath and push."
"The head..is out," Aiden states and Grace hits him on the head.
"Thank you, I needed that. One more push love."
"IT'S A BOYYY!" The baby's cries fill the entire room as Grace and I high five each other.
"WE'RE AUNTS!!" We whisper-scream as Blake and Nash walk into the room.
Blake comes to stand behind me as we look ahead at Aiden and Alice comforting each other as the baby is washed and measured then placed in between them."His name is Alex," Alice states as Aiden kisses her forehead and we all smile watching Alex.
He leans down and whispers in my ear, "I hope that's us one day."
