Sam's POV

Dear Goddess

Please help me. I'm not sure what I should do. My mate is the jerk who hurt me the most when I was younger.

I know I shouldn't question your judgement but, are you sure he's my mate and you haven't made a mistake. I mean, he is rude and disgusting and I really don't want him to be my mate.

Mates are supposed to love you unconditionally but, all the love in that idiot is centered around himself. Please tell me what to do

Thanks

I smiled, finishing my prayer to the moon Goddess. I prayed every day to her. She's important in any 'were's life. I respect her greatly.

I began to stand up but, before I was standing up fully, a bright white light shone from behind my eyelids. I lost control of my body and I could feel my knees buckle as I fell to the ground. A second later I collided with the carpet of the room as I fainted.

**********************

'Where am I?' Was my first thought when I woke up. All around me was white and it was just an endless space. Was this some kind of joke? My hands fisted at my sides and I felt a soft, silky material between my fingers. Looking down, I saw that I was wearing a long, white chiffon dress that flowed to the floor and then pooled around my feet. What the Hell? Somebody had changed me! And if it was someone from the Redwood pack then there was gonna be hell to pay!

"Calm down" Said a soothing voice from behind me. I spun around quickly and saw a girl who looked to be a few years older than me. She was wearing a short white taffeta dress that stopped at her knees

I narrowed my eyes at her

"Who are you?" I asked. She didn't answer just simply smiled and clapped her hands together

"Oh good. You can see me! Most 'weres I talk to only hear me in their prayers." She said. "I was wondering when you'd come along"

Huh?

"Me?" I asked. She nodded

"Yes." She spoke simply, Walking around me to where my back wasd. I turned around so that I was still facing her as she walked over to a simple white box resting on a pearl plinth. Where had that come from? I watched, dumb-founded, as she opened the box and pulled out a scroll. She read it for a minute before glancing back up at me

"The prophets were right." She said. Ok, now, I was officially lost

"What prophets? Who are you and where the hell am I?" I shouted. I didn't like this joke. I couldn't see anywhere through which I could escape and that worried me. No doors, no windows, nothing. Just white space.

"Sometimes, answers lead to more questions. Therefore,I can't tell you who I am yet. Maybe once this whole matter is resolved but until then, my identity must remain a secret. As for where you are, well, we are in limbo."

"Where's limbo?" I asked, curious. As far as I could tell, this woman was either mad or completely sincere.

"It's the space between your world and my...world" She said world almost as if it were a question

I nodded for a minute, trying to wrap my head around what she'd told me

"Ok......If I can't know who you really are then what should I call you?" I wondered aloud

"What would you like to call me?" She asked

"Well, in my world we have names. So I suppose I could give you a name."
