"Mom? Can you read me a bedtime story?"

The little vixen sits in her own bed as her mother was about to walk out. She stops and looks at her. She smiles.

"Alright. What story do you want me to read?"

The little vixen took out a book from under her pillow and handed it to her mom. She gladly took it and read the title out loud.

"Captain Atalia, the space princess hero. Where did you get this?"

"Dad just bought it when he was out earlier. He got it for free."

"Well, lucky you."

The mother sits at the edge of the bed next by the little vixen. She opens the book and reads it to her.

"Once upon a time, a girl named Atalia, had a family that she moves. She was the nicest, kindest, and smartest girl everyone has ever known. She did all the things that she can to be a good noodle. Clean her room, do her homework, and so on. But one thing for sure, there was something very special about her."

"What is it?"

Her mother turned the page.

"The most special gift of all is her friends that she calls her 'saviors.'"

"Really?"

"Yeah. And they help her if something is wrong and she saves the day just in time. People called her a hero. And later on, she was now a hero of the galaxy. They later on pronounced her as princess of Adagio. And she could've have done if it wasn't for her friends, the saviors. And they both save the galaxys from mission to mission. And it all started on a girl who believes she can do good things."

The mother looked at the little vixen and she smiles.

"Wow. Do you think that I could save the galaxy just like Captain Atalia?"

"I think so. All you have to do is do the right things first."

The little vixen yawns and runs her eyes. The mother puts the book away and kisses her daughter's head. She tucked her in and the as off the light. She went out of the door.

"Goodnight mom."

"Goodnight, sweety."

She closes the door and finds her husband standing there with his arms crossed with a worried face.

"I know how it feels. I know what's going on in your head. 'Why her? Why not any other fox or vixen?'"

The father said nothing.

"We have no choice. If we refuse, they would shut it all down. No regrets."

There was silence in the hallway. It was now broken as the father finally speaks.

"That's not why. I'm just mad that we're not going to see our daughter ever again. She won't even remember us. You know what they would do to her! And you think that's ok?!"

The mother out her head down in guilt. He walked up slowly to her.
They both look straight into each other's eyes. The mother's are yellow and the father's are orange.

"I'm not abandoning her."

"You thin It's gonna be easy? Just gonna say that you don't want our daughter to be taken away from us-"

"I don't want them to put a single hand on her. What did She do to them, huh? Nothing!"

The mother sighs. The father walks to the little vixen's door and opens the door a little. The little vixen was still asleep. He closes it again.

"Her birthday is in three days."

"I know."

"I don't want her to grow up."

"There's nothing We can do. I'm sorry."

The father closes his eyes as a year was running down his face. The mother turned him around and have him a hug. They both let go.

"Come on. Let's get some rest."

They both walked to there rooms. As their door closes, the little vixen comes out and sneaks to the living room. She looks at the window and looks at the stars twinkling one by one. She sighed.

"Someday, I'm going to be like Captain Atalia. And do good things first. And that's a promise."

She gasped as she saw a shooting. And makes her wish. She stops and keeps looking at the stars as she didn't want this to end.
