Snap.
The sudden sound jolted him from his sleep. Air rushing from his lungs and his body springing forward into an upright position, his wide, crimson eyes darted about the room frantically. He found nothing out of the ordinary...
Except a comically short, blue haired woman holding a startled expression and a now broken hairbrush in her hand.
"Gajeel!" She exclaimed, her little voice still slightly raspy from sleep, he figured she had just woken up. "S-sorry for waking you up! This hairbrush is just so cheap..."
Gajeel chuckled softly and nodded understandingly while pushing his long ropes of black hair away from his face.
"S'fine, shrimp. I need to get up anyway." He dismissed her cares and slowly rose, his joints crackling along the way.
He studied her, probably for the millionth time, and decided to make it a million and one. She was wearing a pink spaghetti strapped white tank top with a pair of white panties. Due to her perfectly plump, rounded backside, her top rose up so he could see the cute little bow on her panties.
It reminded him of how, if there was a deity, an ass like that was a gift. Then she bent over to pick up her pajama shorts and slip them on. Nope, scratch that, it's a blessing.
That on top of the way the small frame of her shoulders curved into the pale dips of her neck. Her skin so flawlessly smooth and the way she moved was the epitome of grace and elegance.
Gajeel sunk his teeth into his lower lip, heat rushing through his body as he remembered the night before... Dear god, the way she cold move those wide, fertile hips...
"Gajeel!" Levy called, her lips and cheeks puffing in slight irritation. "Are you listening to me?"
He flinched, as if he has been suddenly hit, his cheeks slightly flushed. "Eh? Oh, sorry, shrimp. I uh, kinda zoned out."
"I can see that." She sighed and out a hand on her hip. "As I was saying, I have an assignment with Shadow Gear today. So I might be a little late for date night."
He shrugged her off, hesitantly rising from the warmth of his bed, the harsh cold rushing to his skin and making him shutter.
"It's no sweat, babe, really." His crimson eyes flickered up at her in reassurance and the corner of his mouth twitched upwards.
That little look made her heart warm up, Gajeel wasn't really one for conveying his emotions in the best way, but when he managed to it was a rare sight to be seen.
"Alright!" She gave a little nod and walked over to him to plant a kiss on his cheek, to which he had to lean down to receive.
Levy flashed a big smile up at her boyfriend, her pearly white teeth glittering and her hazel eyes warm and happy. Just like all the other times, when he saw that happiness on her face, it made his heart stop. It made the world slow to a stop and it made him unable to think of anything other than the woman standing before him.
Suddenly he smirked, chuckling low in his throat. Anybody who knew anything about Gajeel knew that he was up to no good if he did just one of those things.
"Since I'm bein' so sweet to ya today," he begun, leaning in close to Levy, making her cheeks warm. "we should save water and shower before we start the day, eh?"
"Idiot Gajeel," She puffed out her cheeks and pouted. "Fine, let's go."
"Gihi," he chuckled again and gave a light pop to her ass.
She squealed and swatted him away, his preversion making her flush. But, in a way, that was just how he was.
She wouldn't have it any other way.
