Chapter 2

*Suka's P.O.V*

I stopped on a tree branch and looked down to see Kankuro holding a kid up in the air by his throat. A kid with spikey blonde hair was yelling at Kankuro and I didn't like it. I howled from the top of the tree alerting Gaara that Kankuro was causing trouble again. Kankuro and Temari froze when they heard my howl. Kankuro immediately dropped the boy and looked around becoming more scared by the second. I twitched my ear hearing the sand appear next to me as Gaara appeared. I looked up at Gaara and tilted my head. He looked  down at me and nodded. I looked back at Kankuro who was still looking for me with fear in his eyes. I squared my shoulders, hung my head low, put my ears forward, straightened my tail out, tensed my legs, and growled lowly. My hackles rose as I jumped off the branch and landed in front of Kankuro with my teeth bared. I quickly and silently jumped up slashing his arm and he fell back while I dropped back down standing on top of him with my teeth bared.

"Su-Sukaretto?!" Kankuro stuttered, frightened

"Suka..." Gaara called at me

I stopped and sat on Kankuro wagging my tail and barked as Gaara appeared beside Temari with an angry expression on his face.

"SO CUTE!!" I heard two people yell as I was suddenly tackled but I didn't fall down.

Gaara glared at the two people who were hugging me and I could see Kankuros scared face as he stared at the two Genin. I growled and snarled loudly snapping my teeth as the Genin kept there arms around my body. They froze and quickly let go hiding behind an emo looking kid. I got up and trotted to Gaara with my tail wagging. He looked at me with a slight glare and I stopped. I put my ears back and got low to the ground. I slowly crawled over to him and rolled onto my back. I whimpered and whined as he stood there. He sighed and bent down rubbing my stomach. I perked my ears and wagged my tail. He faintly smiled and stood up looking at the three Genin. I slowly rolled onto my side and stood on my paws. I changed back into a human and stood beside Gaara protectively. The two boys stared at me but the boy with the yellow spikey hair had hearts in his eyes and a slight blush.

"Gaara-sama, we should go and get some rest before we have to train for the exams." I said as I looked down with my ears back and head low

"Exams? What exams?" The girl with the pink hair said walking out from behind the emo kid

"You guys really are dense and stupid!" Temari said with an tone in her voice

"Leave them be Temari!" I growled at her

"Whatever." She said and turned away from me not bothering to listen anymore

"They are having the Chunin exams here and we are here to take them." I said with a sigh as I looked at the three leaf genin with a bored expression

"Chunin exams? I am so there!" The yellow spikey haired genin said

"Tch.. You wouldn't last ten minutes in the chunin exams! You'd die in under 2 minutes if you arent careful! These exams are for people who are actually trained and ready to go fight for whatever they can not for fun! These exams are for people like us!" I said with a growl in my voice and my eyes narrowed

Gaara looked at me from the corner of his eyes and I looked down knowing I disobeyed his orders. Gaara looked back at the Genin and sighed.

"Suka, change back. Temari, Kankuro lets go." He said calmly

I sighed and turned back into a wolf. I turned and started walking away but stopped when I felt a tug from around my neck. I turned my head to see sand wrapped around my collar. I looked at Gaara and he shook his head. I put my ears back and walked back to him. I stood beside him with my ears down as the sand stayed around the collar not coming off.
