the chapters from now on are gonna be very short and sweet
Chloe
In that moment, I was the happiest girl in the world.
In fanficiton, you always read about being asked to be girlfriend as this big moment of change. At first, I thought it was very overdone. But now that I've experienced in real life, I think it's very underdone.
When Josh went home that night, I was as giddy as ever. I didn't even care that the crust of the pizza had been burnt to extent of turning black.
I went to bed that night with the biggest smile on my face. I don't I could've been any happier.

Going to school the next day wasn't hard. Except for after school when I kept running into Mackenzie and she was ignoring me.
It started with short answers.
"Wanna hang out tonight?"
"No."
"Oh...why not?"
"Because I can't."
Then it was not responding.
"Kenz...Kenz...Kenz!"
"What?"
Then it was flat out not speaking to me.
"Mackenzie what's up with you?"
Nothing.
I don't know what I did, but it was really getting to me.
So I stopped talking to her as well. I had invited Josh over to help me babysit Clara, so that would keep me busy.
It was nearly six in the evening when he showed up. Dressed in black skinny jeans ripped at he knees paired with a random band tee he must've thrown on.
I smiled, letting him inside the small apartment.
He looked around, smiling at me.
"So where's Clara?" He asked, turning to face me.
"Asleep."
Josh raised an eyebrow. "Then why'd you invite me babysit with you?"
"So we wouldn't have to babysit." I responded.
A smile appeared on his face, leaning in towards my lips. His lips were now pressed firmly against mine, making me smile into the kiss.
Kiss
God, it still hasn't hit me that I was kissing my idol. To me, he was a normal boy right now. He didn't have a Grammy and he didn't have millions of screaming fans around he world. Right now, we had each other.
We pulled apart, grinning like idiots.
"Pizza?" I asked, walking away and towards the landline.
Josh nodded. "Sure."

Two large cheese pizzas later, we laid sprawled out on the tiny couch, somehowhow managing the two of our bodies.
I let out a yawn, placing my hand over my mouth in attempt to cover it up. Josh chuckled at this, showing off his perfectly straight teeth.
"Tired?"
"Extremely."
Josh wrapped an arms around me, pulling me into his chest. He smiled like cheap cologne and coffee. It was a comforting scent.
He kissed my cheek, making my lips curl up into a smile. Though we'd been dating for a short amount of time, I enjoyed the time we spent together.

Josh went home at around midnight. I was too tired to shower and change, so once I reached my bed, I was out like a light.
But the next day I got to thinking. He was acting awfully strange. Josh usually doesn't show that much affection to me. Something was wrong, and my heart told me I didn't wanna know.
