Filliagona's heartbeat grew stronger and louder as each second passes. She's standing in line to buy fish for tonight's dinner, but to her it was as hard as catching one with nothing more but bare hands.
She stood out with what she was wearing, a dress suited for nobles, but looks can be deceiving. The dress' white with red ribbons that littered everywhere elegantly with a red rose that was placed right where her midriff is; the flower looked too real to be called fake, but everyone knows that flowers wither easily when plucked from their roots...but maybe with a little magic it won't. Who knows?
It's her favorite dress but how wrong of her to wear such elegant thing just to buy fish in the market. How quite foolish of her indeed, but she only knew just now.
Now, the dress was not sewn by the finest tailors or was made with the softest material. She stitched it herself with her own pale hands and created all the materials needed by herself, but not everybody knows that crafting is her hobby and she is pretty good at it, well, pretty good than her mother that is.
Sweat drips from her body with every next she hears from the merchant's mouth, it's just too soon until it's her turn. The fish here is the freshest and the most expensive out of all being sold, not everyone could afford it, not because of the new kings' liking for money, but money was never a problem for her and her mother they could just call for it and it will appear out of nowhere. Literally.
'Only two persons left' she thought as she kept pulling her dress down.
She was gazing at a fish and repeatedly saying 'that' in her mind. She really doesn't care if the what kind of fish it is, it was yellow and looked the most expensive out of the rest-she though it would sooth down some people if she buys the most expensive fish to match her seemingly expensive dress. She could just change it later to whatever fish fits her liking though, but she has to buy fish in the market as of her mothers' request, she knows her mother would know if it's not from the market. Her mother's rather smart and the fish being sold here is a little bit... different.
While Filia was too busy staring at the fish to notice she was already at the front of the line a gentle hand grabbed her shoulder, she was socked and jolted a little, she wasn't meant to be touched even though nothing will happen, she just finds it too strange for a human to touch her. It's not very common.
"Sorry but it's your turn m'lady." the man who touched her said while giving off a gentle smile, a gentlemen, she could tell by his looks. She returned a bow and proceeded to the merchant.
'He didn't notice' she said to herself calming a little.
She looked straight at the merchant whose eyes were somehow like daggers staring at her for no reason, it made her stiffen up more but she decided to ignore it .
"I-I'll have this please. Two" she managed to say even though shuttering a little, the merchant got up and picks the fishes. She let's out a little sigh and thought of how easy that was and how she only has to pay for it to go home. She was relieved for a second. But only for a second.
"You know, it's not very often for a noble buying fish in a market without servants to aid her." the merchant said as he wraps the fishes with paper, still somehow eyeing her. Filia's heart beats faster for she knows she has to answer, and answering means talking to him and talking means interacting to him in which she did not prepare for. She took a little more time but again she managed to talk.
"The man behind me seems to be the noble one, not me. Sir."
The merchant turned quiet as he secures the fishes with more layers of paper, she counted three layers by now. He handed her the fish and extended his hand "That'll be fifteen pieces of silver" a ridiculous price for the two fishes but because of the storm that happened not a month ago the price is somewhat considerable.
