~Jazmine~
I sink to my knees and my eyes try to fill with tears, but I force them back. I sit on the floor- almost emotionless. Everyone watches me, waiting for a reaction. I stare down at my hands and count my fingers. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine- it's real. Of course it's real- another goddamned body to bury. Another fucking burden to carry.
"I-w-um- I'll figure something out. We'll figure something out. We- I will do something about it." I state, my voice uneven.
"Jazmine, you need a break. You'll push yourself over the edge if you don't take a break." Lydia says.
"If I don't do something, who the fuck will!?!?!?!" I yell my eyes glowing. I close my eyes and switch them back.
"You need to take a break. You're only sixteen years old. You shouldn't have to do this." Jared's brother, Jackson states.
"Yeah, well I don't have much of a choice, now do I?" I narrow my eyes. "Because, 'oh look at little ole Jazmine Brooke, her eyes glow and she's from the two strongest bloodlines. Let's make her be the one in charge of a whole entire army of hunters. She can handle it, because she's so fucking strong.' I bet that's exactly what they were thinking when they put me in charge. I bet that's exactly what a lot of people think. 'Oh well, she can handle it. She might be sixteen, but her eyes glow she can handle anything.' Well fucking news flash- I can't!" I hold out my arms before letting them fall to my sides.
"Jaz, calm down." Jake states. I shake my head and smile.
"Everyone thinks that I'm this big, strong, indestructible machine. They're all wrong. I'm just a teenage girl. Who's dumbass idea was it to put a sixteen year old in charge anyways?" I speak with my hands. "Whoever's it was- was a whole other level of fucking brain dead. Who the hell puts a sixteen year old in charge? Some dumb fuck in this family I guess, but you know- I'm fucking invincible, so what does it matter?"
"Jazmine- stop." Jake says.
"You wanna know something else? I don't fucking care! I never did- because what teenage girl cares about anything other than sex, guys, and money." I scoff. "It's all just a bunch of misfits making themselves blend into society. Either you get excepted or you don't. That's how everything works today. Who fucked up society? Well society did it. It's bullshit. But I can do anything because I'm Jazmine Argent the strongest thing since Marie Jeanne's daughter!" My eyes glow again.
"Jazmine you're gonna drive yourself to the point of no return." Jake warns.
"But who the hell cares!?! I'm just slowly dying! No one will ever notice! Because I'm this strong thing that can do anything!" I yell.
"Jaz- that's enough." Jake whispers.

I lean my back against the base of a tree and twirl the arrowhead in my fingers. I could end all of this, or I could live with it. Maybe I could just take a long walk off a short pier and be done. That seems to be the easiest thing to do.
"What's on your mind?" Jacob asks sitting down beside me. I rest my head on his shoulder and sigh.
"What the hell am I supposed to do?" I reply with a question.
"Well, we could go far away for a while and ignore everything." He smirks.
"That actually doesn't sound like a bad plan." I state.
"But, hmmm. Where to?" He mocks the tone of someone who has no clue.
"France- or the moon. The moon sounds fun." I smile.
"The moon it is." He kisses my cheek before we both laugh.
