Merlin One-Shots

All: Cuddles

Arthur – Arthur never acts like he needs to be held. Instead of asking he just hugs you. The first, second and third time you are confused as to why you are called to his chamber. After that you understand that you just need to hug him. He always acts as though you are the one who needs to be comforted. When you do need comfort he is always the first one you go to. Neither of you need to ask for an explanation. You soon know each other well enough that the other just shows up without needing to be asked. It isn't long before little hugs and minutes of cuddling turn into nights spent together. After 6 months there are very few night that are not spent together.

Merlin – If Merlin needs to cuddle he takes your hand and pulls you somewhere secluded. He holds you for moments before letting you go back to your work. If it is dark he will pull you to his room without stopping to say anything to Gauis. He never seems cold on the winter nights that you spend together; instead he seems as hot as a fire. You often find that he is so warm that you do not need blankets. After he tells you about his magic you can feel him using it to pull you closer or to see how you are feeling. When you need to be held or cry he always comes running. When he is away with Arthur you can feel his warmth envelope you as though he was truly there.

Percy – Percy is very open when he needs someone to cuddle with. He will come up to you, often with tears threatening to spill from his eyes, and ask for a hug. In a way the large man reminds you of a puppy. He is always ready to drop what he was doing if you are ever in need of his comfort. You fit comfortably in his embrace and sometimes you cannot get enough of him. He is always warm and his skin is soft despite the daily hours of training. He talks in his sleep but it is always loving words and he kept you tucked in his arms all night.

Mordred – Mordred often came to you in the night after he wakes up from a bad dream. He has them often so you have become used to him sneaking into your room of the castle. He quietly opens and shuts the door and quietly walks over to you. As you wake up you see his face and sit up to wrap him in your arms. You sit for a while in the dark until he has calmed down. Often times he returns to his own room but there is still the occasion that he spends the night with you. He realizes that after this it is only right that he returns the favor when you are in need of his hugs. You can always count on him to make you smile and he is always ready for you to spend the night.

Leon – You never have to wonder about what Leon is thinking. He is very open and very loyal. If he asks you for something you can expect him to return the favor. Leon is all heart, and he never pushes. Even if he doesn't need to be held he will still asked to be hugged. Leon likes contact and he often seeks it. He loves to cuddle you in your times of need and he seems fond of running his fingers through your hair. He hates you in need but he knows that he needs to help you.

Gwaine – Gwaine never admits to needing a hug but he adores watching you laugh. If he is feeling down he will dance with you or strike up a tickle fight. His usual flirty nature is replace by a sweet, and caring one. He never fails to put a smile on your face whether you need it or he does. Sometimes he lets you braid his hair and put flowers in it. He likes to lay his head in your lap as you do so and you are one of the few people allowed to touch his hair. If you ever come to him he will pull out cookies stolen from the kitchens and a book of poetry that you had been reading for a while.

Lancelot – Lancelot never cuddles. Usually he figures out his problems on his own. Despite his friendly and semi-flirty nature he rarely comes to you for comfort. He always seems to shy away from affection. If you are ever feeling as though you need affection though, he doesn't hesitate. He knows that when it comes down to it all he needs to do is sit with you. You never push him too far for anything but you know that he will eventually come around.

Elyan – Elyan does not hesitate to ask anything of you. He claims that this is from growing up with Gwen as a sister. He only seems to come to you when Gwen is not around though. Even with his rare visits you know just the way to calm him down. He is very open about his feelings and he is very comfortable when asking you for something. If you need he is always there for you to listen. You know that he does this for Gwen and he does not care what you need. (Even if you need to complain about cramps.) He never asks for more than you are willing to give and he always pays you back later.
