Yana was tossing and turning, a cold sweat on her brow as terrifying images flitted through her mind. Castiel frowned, seeing the girl's distress. Yana had been placed in his care and he actually quite enjoyed her company, but he could see her struggling and this pained the angel. He walked over quietly and laid beside her, folding her into his arms and kissing her forehead, "Yana... It's okay.. you're safe."
Yana stirred awake, tears in her eyes and on her cheeks as she pulled him close, "Cas... I... It..."
Castiel shushed her and rubbed her back, his own eyes searching hers, "Rest."
She nuzzled into his neck and closed her eyes, his comforting scent calming her, "Thanks, Cas."
Castiel's brow knitted slightly, "What for?"
Yana smiled sleepily, "For keeping me safe." With that her breathing slowed and evened as she drifted into slumber.
