Love Me

'You have no power over me.'

Damn those stupid words to hell, and back again, and then into hell again! She hated them so much, those words had cost her him, cost her her friends, The Labyrinth, the Underground... And the chance to ever find someone who loved her. All those goddamn words had won her was a bittersweet victory and a look into his pained, heartbroken eyes.

He had given her what she wanted. He had taken her brother away from her at her command. And she had thrown the gift back at him.

Sure, he could of just given Toby back, but where was the fun in that? And if he had done that, she wouldn't of met Hoggle, or Ludo, or Didymus. He had done her a favour... And it had taken her almost 3  years to see that.

'Oh Jareth.' She sighed against the window pane. Her warm breath steamed up the cracked glass, and she lazily drew out a pair of owls eyes.

'Wow..' She stammered, taken aback. 'I didn't know I could draw?' The owls eyes were remarkably lifelike. She could almost see the pupils..

Wait.

She rubbed the steam away and once again pulled up the window.

There he was. Jareth. As a bloody stupid owl.

---------------------------------------------

'Jareth?' Sarah exclaimed, only then remembering that she would probably be seen talking to an owl, and so should either invite in him or close the window.

She did the latter. Obviously.

'Jareth.' She hissed.'Get in or go away. I don't want you stalking me, and I really don't want to be teased for talking to an owl.' The owl fluttered its wings, and Sarah stepped back to allow it to enter her room. As the owl passed by her she ran forward and slammed the window shut, pulling across the latches and sealing the curtains. She didn't care if it was the middle of the day, her dignity was worth more than a few extra 0's on the electricity bill.

When she turned around, she gasped, as the air caught in her throat and choked her. Her eyes widened, and even though she had been expecting this, she knew that she would never fully be used to it.

There he was. Tall, blonde, magnificent. His mismatched eyes gazed out from under his blonde mane, which waved in a wind that Sarah could not feel. His lips were curled in a knowing smirk, that seemed to say 'come closer, I'll either bite you or kiss you... Or maybe both,' and his nose quivered. He was wearing a floating white top, which was cut down to his chest, and his impossibly, impossibly tight trousers hugged his legs. Resting against his chest was a beautiful gold medallion, which caught the light and shimmered against his pale white skin.

Sarah couldn't think of any word but gorgeous, for over a minute. She simply stood there, drinking in his beauty.

'Sarah?' He asked, tilting his head in the way a puppy would, while watching something it was going to pounce upon. 'Sarah,it's been far too long, hasn't it?'

She was still frozen. Both regretting and relishing her decision to allow the Goblin King to enter her dorm. It seemed a stupidly reckless, but
deliriously fun choice, but deep down she knew she'd made a mistake.

'It was either that or leave you out there looking like a loner Jareth.' She sneered, watching him, evidently taken aback by her reply. He twirled a crystal in his palm and studied her, his eyes sweeping over her figure, and resting on her face.

'Almost too long. You've certainly grown since I last saw you.' He remarked, as he proceeded to wander about the room. Every so often he would pick up a trinket, or a book or a random object and turn it over in his hand. He would then place it down, with an obvious look of disdain. It only then occurred to Sarah how odd the entire scene was. Jareth, adorned in jewels and elvish clothes, was in her dorm.
