Chapter 8: moving to gravityfalls

It's a sunny day and we finally did it,we finally graduate high school and we're finally going to college I thought we we're going to go a good college well...not exactly.

~ time skip ~

"Alright I know Backupsmore wasn't anyone's first choice but what we lack in prestige we make up for in mostly bug-free dorms! I'm sure your family are proud more or less" said the speaker,I look at Stanford he was looking at a picture of his family I smile and my hand on his hand,he looks at me and smiled.

In please like this,me and ford had to work twice as hard luckily that's what we do best well mostly Stanford.

He went from undergrad to PhD three years ahead of schedule,he wrote a thesis that was nationally ranked and was awarded an enormous grant for his own scientific research,but he had no idea what to to study.

~ford pov~

I began to wonder what am I going to study ,then I began to look at my hands and saw a book about anomalies as (y/n) looks at me.

my whole life I'd been teased for my six fingers as Stan and (y/n) always defended me,but that got me thinking about anomalies things that were strange,unusual,statistically improbable and according to my investigations there was one place with a higher concentration of these things than anywhere else a small lumber town in roadkill country Oregon Gravity falls.

I looked at (y/n) reading her book, I kept wondering if she would come with me to gravity falls, I know it will be selfish of me asking her she has dreams of her own she wants a career for the stuff she loves, but I want her by my side no matter what, if she's says no I have to live with that even if it breaks my heart.

I took a deep breath "um..(y/n)....I would like to ask you something if you don't mind? " I said nervously.

She looks up from her book and turns to me and smiles at me ,oh how she makes my Heart skip a beat.

"Yes Stanford? " she said Curiously I look at her and took deep breath again.

"um.. I think know what I'm going to be researching, I'll be going to a place named to gravity falls  to study on the weirdness there and I want you to come with me." I said, I look at her and see her shocked but still listening to me, I grap her hands with mine and spoke again.

"listen I know this is going to be a big step on our relationship and I know you want  a Career and I don't want to stop you ,I just want you to know that you are important to me and I love you and I'll support you any way possible even if you don't want to come with me." I said  Hoping she would give me an answer.

~your pov ~

I just stared at him in shock of what he said to me, he wants me to go with him to a place name gravity falls, I mean its a big step on our relationship but overall our career he has another opportunity to do something big and I want a career,I'm so close to getting my career but I love Stanford too. But I feel like I'll be in the way ,but like mom always says.

Loves makes you do stupid things.

"Oh Stanford I love you, I know i want a Career i will do anything to make that dream come true, but it won't be all true with out you" I said with him still holding my hand as I hold his hands a little tighter.

"Are you saying that you want to come with me?" He said and I nodded my head yes.

"Yes ford I want to come with you!" I said as I let go of his hands and wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him.

As he smiled and Twirled me around happily and we laughed by this amazing opportunity for the both of us. Looks like we're moving to gravity falls.

~time skip to gravity falls~

Me and ford were heading out we got in my car and drive to gravity falls,we set to work using his grant money to investigate the strange properties of this town but what would we find here?

As we hired  construction workers to build a cabin for us, as we looked at the woods we looked back at each other and smiled at each other.

then all of a sudden a giant hand grabs my car It scared me as  I hid behind Stanford but he wasn't scared he just looked and smile as he turned to me and gently pat my shoulder and told me not to worry.

We began to investigate at once,there were so many things to see like ghost and monsters and Items there's so much more to remember.

So i know ford have to record our findings so I remember that my friend (1bf/n) gave me a journal, to keep my moments, so I told him to keep a journal, he agreed to do so.

We still continue for months,There were anomalies everywhere and the more we looked the more we saw.

we were catching these things called 'Eye bats' and ford puts them in a jar I sketch the anomalies that we see or capture. He told me to sketch them because he always say my drawings are always fascinating to see so he writes down all information and I scratch them it's like a tag team.

I remember one time we found an egg when it hatch right in front of us it immediately turns into a cup that Stanford bring I sketch this 'Shape shifter '. In the journal while ford writes down the things it do.

we found a gnome and we brought it back to the cabin to research it I was checking his height.

"fascinating,what did you say your name was" I told him,

"schmebulock...senior" he said and ford wrote this down in the journal.

We still study the anomalies in this town I just finished journal 2,thanks to (y/n) by my side she helps me with every study that we always see and sometimes I'm just afraid that she will get hurt or worst,I told (y/n) I'm going to the forest alone.

I kept walking deeper and deeper into the forest,I heard that there are gem diamonds the further I looked I found them I had to pick it to break a piece of the gem diamond,l took the diamond home to make a ring ,I finally decided.......

I'm going to propose to (y/n). I just hope she will say yes.
