AUTHOR'S POV

Wind was screaming on the lonely night street, getting annoyed of silence between two people, facing each other but no exchanging any words.

"Well that's awkward," Luke coughed and looked away from terrified girl in front of him. Her nails were making holes in the wooden door as she was holding on too tightly, her mouth still opened wide.

"Awkward?" Her brain finally started working again. "Awkward?! After all these months, freaking YEAR, you suddenly show up at 2 AM, FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF EARTH AND ALL YOU SAY IS THAT'S AWKWARD?! What the fuck are you-- Uhh," Braylee breathed in and out few times to calm down and closed her eyes. "You have one minute, Luke Hemmings, and then I am throwing that flower pot right on your head. Explain, 3, 2, 1, go!"

"Luke was sad so Calum said that they did this thing and paid and Luke went and sit on a plane and wheee and landed in England and went here and saw his house that is pretty nice and then Luke wanted to greet his new neighbours so Luke is here with Braylee now and they are awkward." He took a deep breath, his white teeth shining in the darkness as he gave me one of his innocent smiles.

"Ohhhkay. You know what, we will work on that matter later. For now, I will let you live."

"Generous as always," he laughed at me but my cold expresion made him shut his mouth.

"You can't be here, Luke," I nervously turned my head and looked at the stairs, leading to bedroom where my boyfriend was, hopefully, sleeping.

"Why not? I am just visiting," he shaked his head. "And, it's not like you are married right?"

I gave him weird look that could mean anything. "How can you know? What if I am married woman and my beautiful triplets are sleeping upstairs?"

He pressed my hand and took it to his mouth. "What are you doing?" His lips brushed lightly against my fingers as he whispered: "You don't have a ring, stupid. Also," his other hand found its way to my waist, making our bodies one as he pulled me closer. "Your body is too fine to suffer that much. Triplets?" I pushed him away with frown on my face. "You need to raise your level in lying."

"What do you want Hemmings?" I scoffed, making him ... after calling him by his surname.

He took one step closer and I did so too, just in the other way. "One last chance."

"What?"

"That's all I need. One last chance."

"One last chance for what--" I jumped as I suddenly heard Ashton's voice, searching for me. "Braylee?" "I am here, everything's fine! Luke, you need to--" but as I turned back, that blondie was already gone.

"Was this a dream?" I whispered, looking around the empty street. No, definitely not.

As I returned to our bedroom, Ashton hugged me tightly. "I was so worried. I woke up and you were no where to find. Then I thought I heard some voices- Probably just in my mind- But God I am so relieved now. Where were you?"

After last year, Ash got a little bit... Protective. By little bit I mean a looooot. Like he was scared I could pack my things and fly back to Australia any day and never come back again. I couldn't tell him the truth.

"Just got really thirsty so I went downstairs to get some water," I placed kiss on his cheek so he wouldn't worry anymore and jumped under covers. "Let's go sleep now, okay?"
