"And the Celtics have the lead at the end of the third quarter." The announcer on the tv commented.
With that, I rose from my seat and noticed my phone was buzzing with new messages.
Alexis: Hey have you heard about the party that Carter Wilson was hosting?
Me: No why?
Alexis: I heard that everyone was going! Which brings me to my next point...You Have To Come!! No buts! I am already at the party so you have to come.
Me: Ok, if you say so...but I don't have a dress to wear.
Alexis: Yes you do! Remember the dress that has black lace with the pink on the bottom and black designs.. oh and also wear a short black cardigan and I forgot to mention that your brother is here too.
Me: What?! ok fine ill go... ill be there in 10

I arrived at the party, and I had to admit Alexis was right. It was an awesome party. I looked around and came to see people drinking and dancing like no one was watching. I looked closely towards what I assume is the kitchen to see Alexis, then up to the rail to see my brother. I could tell Joey was drunk and I started to space out when I heard Carter yell to my brother.
"What do you want Joey?".
"Can...can you ask...can you ask Alexis where...where my sister is?" My brother yelled out.
As I was about to walk up to Joey, I see Alexis on her phone and Carter next to her mouthing something, but I was too far to hear.
I see Alexis storming away from him and coming to me. I asked what happened just moments ago and told me Carter was trying to flirt with her.
"And he was like' but you do want something. You want a good time.' Ugh why are guys so frustrating?" Alexis ranted.
"I don't know Alexis. Maybe that's just how Carter acts. You know Joey doesn't act like that. Speaking of Joey I have to talk to him."
We walked towards the stairs and saw him looking down over the railing.
"Hey Joey! It's Amelia! I'm down here okay!" I shouted.
"Huh? Okay!" He responded.
I felt Alexis begin to grab my arm.

For the rest of the night, I pretty much just stayed in the corner of the room. I hated the taste of beer, and knew I would probably have to drive Joey home. I was also pretty pissed off at the fact the Celtics lost.
